I enjoy this app, planting dates for the most part is correct. I notice there is information for a lot of plants missing, I was wondering if it only shows the plants that will grow in my region and that's why so much info isn't available?

U70%
by U####:

If you live in zone 8, don't rely on the planting dates. The average first frost and last frost dates correspond to zone 7. Dates are about 6 weeks off for where I live. The only thing this app is good for is to browse the seed catalog. Looks like the dates have been fixed. We'll give it another try.

Planner does does not allow you to add tasks. Would be nice if there was a feature to document/design layout of your own yard so you remember where you planted certain plants

This app is the closest I've been able to find to what I actually need and want. To improve, add specific dates for fall planting and add an actual garden layout planner. Thanks.

I have always enjoyed shopping at burpees. But, I have been without a computer or internet serive for a long time. It is nice to be able to finally be back on line. :))))))

V70%

I like it but I wish it would let us specify "purple hull peas" or "zipper peas" or "heritage everbearing raspberries."

U70%
by U####:

Wants to be a planner, but is merely a list. Not useful at all.

U70%
by U####:

Good app. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get the latest version to get it working on Android 7

The Fall Planting schedule does not correspond with the Burpee Seed Packets, Local Extension Office or Farmers Almanac.

I loved using this on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Very helpful for determining planting times and starting requirements in an unusual zone (9b/10). Just updated to the Pixel running 7.1.1 and the app will not load up. The home screen (pretty veggie picture) shows and then it just goes white. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Hoping that they get a new release out soon to resolve this.

U70%
by U####:

Useless. After uninstalling and downloading 3 times, all I get is the Burpee splash screen then a black white page that scrolls talking about a video. Nothing ever happens. Using a Google pixel XL so I know it's not my phone. Do devs not even care about testing apps anymore?

U70%
by U####:

It appears that some of the frost dates are listed backwards. This causes items to not show up in task list at the right time. Also, companion planting info and garden design would be excellent! Overall, a useful app!

U70%
by U####:

I'm also having the issue where it just doesn't open. It has a loading screen and then turns white and nothing happens. Terrible. I need a good gardening app. Why is it so hard?

U70%
by U####:

If you put effort in an app, fill your database with everything in your catalog. I would be willing to pay for it if you aren't so stingy. There's a lot of freelancer who can probably transfer your catalog database to the database in the app.

U70%
by U####:

This app would be great but does not recognize my zip code. When I enter my zip it loads a different zip, so the frost dates and weather is off. Not very useful.

U70%
by U####:

I'm having similar app problems as others. Love the option of seeing the tasks that should be done by season, but the app isn't giving me more than a brief view of veggies, and then white space. I've removed it and reinstalled it, but I can no longer use it.

U70%

I like other are having issues when using this app on my Google Pixel phone. Pretty opening pic then nothing but a white page. I too have uninstalled and reinstalled 2xs. Please fix soon

U70%
by U####:

Went to a screen of veggies, and then a white screen. Tried turning phone off and on, and installed and reinstalled app, but nothing changed. This is so not the quality on thinks of from Burpee. They can do so much better if they tried.

U70%

Won't open on my Nexus 5X. After the splash screen, I just get a white screen. I'm bummed because I was recommended this app. I am planting my first garden this year.

U70%

The app has stopped loading for me on Android Nougat. It shows the splash screen then goes white. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Buggy. Ha! No pun intended. Can't input text into fields; won't accept keypad inputs. Doesn't work unless you fill out text fields, which it won't accept. Don't waste your free space with this app.

by U####:

Slightly improved since my review three years ago. It still doesn't give germination info. All vegetables are listed as generic types instead of specific varieties. There is no sunlight hours or watering schedule. No garden plot planning what so ever, it just makes a list.. and at that, it's useless because since you don't know what needs shade or frequent watering, you can't plan each garden plot! I would expect a LOT more from a seed company. I'm giving them one more star for making an effort, but I am still thoroughly disappointed.

U70%
by U####:

I try to open the app and it just presents a white screen. I might really like the app if it would open.

U70%
by U####:

Every time I open the app, it's a blank white screen. Restart my phone, same thing. Uninstall and reinstall, still blank white screen. Very stupid!

U70%
by U####:

It wants to sell large quantities of Burner seeds (Home Depot is a better deal for my small plot.) It uses generic plants instead of specific varieties sold by Burpee. It does not let you actually layout the garden, you just have list of vegetables.

U70%
by U####:

I'd love to give this a higher rating, I really would. It's Burpee, with 140 years experience supplying, and advising gardeners. However, I don't understand why I have to logon an app I've downloaded to my own phone everytime i want to use it. I also noticed that Burpee never addresses any of the issues raised here. Don't they check this site periodically for users concerns, or do they just not care?

U70%
by U####:

Glitchy. Appears to be clear and easy to navigate, but the in app navigation options do not work properly. I had to force stop 2x to create and add to the first garden. I didn't get far enough to understand how to choose specific breeds of vegetables such as peppers and cucumbers. Sorry had to delete. Too much storage space for too little benefit. Will check back often for improvement.

I like the concept. Frost dates are jist wrong. How can April 1 be listed as the frost date for Dedham MA? Also confused by the dates, when it says indoor sow between Feb 5 and Jan 22 does it mean between Feb 5, 2016 and Jan 22 2017 or do they just have the dates backwards? Keep working on it. Has potential. It would be nice if developers responded to some of the issues. No support that I can find.

It has told me to put things out a month or so too early, but I see a couple of things coming back from the dead. I'm hoping this update helps. I really like that it tells you which plants to start indoors as well as info about the individual plants. I like this app pretty well.

Seems to be very glitchy, gets hung up and even skips to other screens/areas I didn't click on (tends to revert back to my gardens), and sometimes won't even advance to the item I do click on... sssssoooooo frustrating! Even in the task list, I click on an item, get redirected back to the my gardens list screen. Gggrrrrrr! PLEASE FIX IT! HELP! I WANT TO CHANGE YOUR RATING TO 5 STARS, IF IT WORKS!!

The spring frost date is like a month and a half early. This app could easily be replaced with a more accurate spreadsheet and I won't risk killing all of my vegetables.

U70%
by U####:

Frost dates are almost one month early for my area. Also, can only see tasks, ie planting dates for one garden. I created three. Finally, very limited selection of plants to chose from.

U70%
by U####:

I understand Burpee's focus is going to be selling seeds and plants, but I'd be more likely to use the app in the first place if it were more generally useful. Dates for pruning, not just planting; plants they might not sell (like trees) in the database, etc.

U70%
by U####:

Here in zone 9 we have a great opportunity to plant a second wave in fall. But why is there only spring planting dates? Pointless.
