BumpBump books takes the 16th-century Italian commedia dell'arte character and gives it a fun twist. The story appeals to both adults and kids alike. The seemingly dark topic of Mr Punch's imminent hanging has a clever "punch like" twist. I loved the "two men's" burlesque high kicking exit as they carry the coffin. Again, the illustrations are a treasure and give this ancient yarn a contemporary angle. Buy it, and while you're at it get the whole series.
