EVA - Voice Assistant

Eva keeps turning off my media volume also I can't get the wake up feature to work well consistently plus I don't like all the stuff that's left on the screen. And I also don't like the microphone being turned off so quickly so I can't finished what I wanted to say. This could be a great app if the developers were smart enough to leave the microphone on until the user is through speaking because as it is the app is unusable especially because of the media volume issue

This app is great, but have issues with it. It won't give me the weather and the Wake up mode never turns off. Now it won't speak calls or messages. If I new the developer quit the app, I never would have bought it!

Didn't really get a chance to use it. There's only one option to change from robotic voice. That SVOX add-on does not work. Uninstalled.

I really want to give it 5 stars, I can never get Eva to respond when she's in car mode and that's the major reason I was interested in this app, she might respond maybe 10% of the time. Needs fixing!!!

Eva is a great addition to Android... As long as you got enough memory to run it, and all your permissions from Google to your calendars and emails are working. Without it, she stalls like crazy and gets spotty voice interaction. Tech support could be better too. I emailed the company about this issue last week and still have not received an answer.

Like most, I tend to review only the apps that are disappointing, but the Bulletproof trio here is the exception. This app was way more in-depth than I ever dreamed of. The developer thought of everything. I was looking for an app that would make a call without taking it out of my pocket... instead I found an app that would not only do that, but everything else I can imagine (open other apps, set alarms, reminders, create an expenditures list, call/ text people, edit contacts, journal entries, location reminders, etc etc). Well done and works fantastically.

Don't buy this app if you have or plain on getting a upgraded phone. Because I when I used my Samsung Galaxy s 3 it works. But when I upgraded to the Samsung s5 it doesn't work. And like the response others have put out about the no response to our complaints

Update: Uninstalled her. She can no longer get my gmail emails. My main email account with centurytel changed the security settings and she can't work with those. There seems to be no more support, no reply from Peter. Did he give up. What a shame, I loved this app.

Tried to get this working on my Galaxy Tab S 10.1, but to no avail. Will not receive voice input, and I tried changing settings to use Google voice, Pico TTS, and SVOX W/ 3 different voice data's installed.

It is very good but she wakes to every sound. I would love it if she would only wake to "Hello Eva"

When it works. It works ok. But she takes fits of turning the media volume to zero. This is a serious problem when driving and trying to use her as a hands free assistant.

It helps out a bunch especially when I am driving , it just doesn't understand when I say letters or acronyms which is understandable.All in all, this app is something I can't do without.

Can't hear Voice. Has not been updated for over a year.

It worked better on my old phone. I upgraded for more memory (Droid Turbo) and now it's a novelty only. Too unpredictable. Will not send Google voice messages and only occasionally receives emails.

This app does everything! What ever I want or need help with "Eva" does. Keep up the good work! I have never run across any app that works this well. I do not know what else to say I still love this app it's very helpful and I love to see the new updates keep them coming peter great job. I am still as pleased as ever. Keep the updates coming.

Halfway through the tutorial it decided to go deaf to me. Nothing I did would make it respond, and after deleting the app data, it again greeted me by my learned name. I un then re installed, only to be greeted again by name and then ignored once again. Tapping on the icon no longer made it go green or respond at all. It must have a config file it leaves behind after uninstall or something. If you can't find a setting you may have unintentionally toggled, you're stuck with it between reinstalls....

I think the developer could not keep up with ever-changing operating systems of the Android devices so he gave up giving support for EVA.

can't text or make calls, tries to sign in to Google for texting, uninstalling.

Potential to be awesome, will stick with it. Still does not understand my accent no idea why, will keep trying ....correction.....it is an awesome app.

We have used this app for a few years now and it has worked great for us.

Best voice assistant on the market hands down.

Do not receive any updates or help for this program. I guess the creator of this program doesn't care. Review the app and the YouTube videos and sounds like a good program, but there is no technical assistance! Programmer does not answer emails.

Would give it a 5 if the few bugs were fixed & I got responses to my emails. Tutourials are awesome & I've figured out how to avoid most the bugs. It is my main way I use my phone now. Thanks Peter.

Please keep updating. I would love to be able to replace default voice commands with EVA

Try this app is every good for all things

I am a blind user and I have found this app to be extremely useful for blind people. However, since the last update Eva keeps lowering the volume after you ask her to do something. With the voluume down, a blind person can not hear her reply or know if the action requested has been performed correctly. Please fix. Four stars for now but it can be five if the problem is fixed. Thank you. I am using the paid version of this app.

I emailed support a week ago. This app doesn't work on my Galaxy note 4. It asks you to chanel your voice recognition to use google. According to ATT and Samsung vlingo is the only option. I asked for a refund and I got ignored. Next step CFPB complaint since the developer just ignored me.

Eva is still one of the best screwed together assistants and still being updated, I've had this app from the beginning, years later still going good, not worked great on a few of my old phones, not working on my Sony Z3, upsetting speakers after lollipop update and can't turn off wake mode! Uninstalling. Please fix. :-(

I find that being dyslexic eva has made it easier for me to keep in contact with my friends. Eva has made it easy to send messages to my friends, when my friends send a message back it is good that Eva can read it out to me. Problem with EVA After last update, I am unable to set the volume on my device and have it stay set. Volume setting keeps going to zero.

A great tool for when you can't hold the phone in your hand. It does take a little practice to get used to, but it is fantastic to be hands free and not to mention much safer. It still gets words wrong as you can see in this post but with user familiarity and continuous improvement I think it's an application for the future.

She works much better then any android app out there. I don't go a day without using her. Totally amazing. Absolutely worth it!! She's a great help with constant new improvements couldn't ask for more.upgraded my phone from s3 to s5 still works great

I paid for this app 2 years ago, and even though I've uninstalled it a few times to try other apps that claim to be the best, I keep re-installing EVA. The amount of functionality you get from this app is amazing. Peter has done amazing work, although he doesn't appear to update the app nearly as much as he used to. There is one thing that is annoying, but I have found the work-around. The current volume issue appears to be EVA turning the music volume to 0 so that she can actually listen to you and not get interference from the audio from the phone. This can be solved by doing the following: 1) Switch EVA's output to a stream other than the music stream (mine is set to the notification stream) 2) Utilize profiles if you need the music stream and turn off wake mode when listening to music (if wake mode is on where EVA listens for you to wake her up, she turns the volume to zero every 5 seconds so that she can actually hear you) I listen to Pandora in my car, and so I have to turn off wake mode in the car, but I have the proximity sensor turned on and so I simply wave my hand in front of the phone to get her attention. Since I have my phone mounted to my dash, this works.
