EVAN Free - Voice Assistant for Android
Works when it wants to. Keeps turning system volume off. I also tried the Eva and the AVX with the same problem. Fix this, it might be worth Not worth $20. As is, not even worth $5
Not as good as eva but good! The only problem is that you are using a female voice.
Love using Evan Free Voice Assistant!!
Dosent work sucks dont install it
Its ok I guess
very good
fix the pop up when i exit out of evan there a pop up action to choose either evan or TWLauncher pop up is annoying.
Does not even wake up by voice. Male uses a female voice. Hard to understand settings even for someone good with tech. Crashed within 1 minute. Fail
Stupid all over do not install it
It didnt work note 3
Waste of time
It stays at 95%download for my nook....
Its ok I guess
It won't turn green.
The simple assistant is better than it.I had to repeat my name 8 times, it doesn't understood. And also, it don't do according to my commands.
Quirky. Makes me angry sometimes. I have hugh expectations for $20.00. I think the price is unfair. I have a crystal clear voice and it often does not respond correctly or even at all. When I first downloaded it it worked fine. Then two to three hours later it started misbehaving. I didn't do anything. I'm not going to buy it until you fix these bugs. I just now had to completely uninstall it before it would even allow me access to my phone.
It is much better than the last one I had. The last one wouldn't work
Ahmed its probably that your phone is crap no offense
Evan is almost the perfect man! It takes a little work training him. There are still bugs, Evan doesn't always respond. Or he will interrupt what you are doing. The developer is very helpful if you have issues... When the bugs are fixed I'll give him a 5! Peter, one example is that I was asking Evan to make a call & suddenly he started reciting my reminders. And sometimes it seems he isn't fully loaded & doesn't respond quickly. And sometimes even tho I have a wake phrase, I have to hit speak..

I just got the most recent update, and I haven't tried the latest features yet because I'm still trying to nail down the ones that are most important to me. For instance, I want to use Evan with my wireless Motorola headset, but he still has a few issues with hearing my responses. If I use the phone, I have to speak directly into the microphone--I can't be more than half an inch away, and this is in a quiet room. There are times where I'll use my wake up phrase, and Evan won't respond at all. Or I'll want to respond to an email, I'll see my response ("Yes") register, and then... he stops listening. Don't get me wrong, this app has AMAZING potential. Once this stuff gets fixed, I will be only too happy to buy it. But right now, it's defeating the purpose of having a hands free device.
This effing app screwed my whole phone up and I can't uninstall it!!!!!!! So creepy!!!!!!!!! Don't do it!!!!!!!!!
Bad points: Interferes with screenlock on Galaxy s4 tablet/Motorola Triumph phone. On phone, disrupts bluetooth connection when I'm listening to music and loads slowly. Good points: Unbelievable scope of functionality, ability to integrate with other apps for more fun. Wonderfully polite, can be taught new words. Can change the voice. Works brilliantly with good internet. Reminds me of JARVIS uncannily. Best I've tried. Notes: Voice recognition improves over time. Could use Spotify integration.
Stupid app sucks!!!!! Just a waste of money
Good features, but not worth the $ as there's no "kill switch". Had to manually kill it as I didn't need/want it on 24/7 draining my battery dry.
To be honest, I really love the concept of this app. The dev is really good and supportive. This does way more stuff that most other apps. And if you want more features the dev will work with you. The problem is that it is not dependable. It didn't always do what it is supposed to do at the right time. For example one of the new features is to read new emails to you. At the time I download this app it was the only one one the market that was able to do that. But it is to buggy. It only works half the time.
Make sure it's what you need & want awesome trial plan. Then be diligent like any assistant you hire going take a bit become familiar with each other!!! Once you are thru that phase you love your new assistant be lost with out him or her.
Some glitches but ideally impressive.
Kept interfering with what I.was doing Unusable
Good job Peter! Everyone needs to listen to your tutorial if they need an app like this. It tells you everything! It is long, but will help you set it up to really be your personal assistant. It's not Siri, but who needs her? LOL!
Absolutely fabulous
It is very useful
Loving it

Worse ui
I am at present trying the free version of this app and all l can say is that, wow, it runs rings around the other assistant type apps out there ( especially Assistant - siri for android which I found to be rubbish and a total waste of money and phone space as well as totally messing up my phone! )All l can say is that, like Eva, Evan seems to tick all the boxes so far, very good, its just a matter of choosing either or, but I am pretty impressed! :-)
Speak bubble is not turning green
