The Falkner app is about the Falkner Boot and Shoe exhibit at Harborough Museum in Market Harborough. Stroll into shoe-making history. Discover the world of brogues, eyelets and toe lines. Experience people's creative responses to cursed shoes and abandoned shoe lasts. Read commissioned creative writing. Listen to the voice of deceased local shoemaker William Falkner (the third). Hear what young museum curators say about the items in Falkner's workshop and look at commissioned photographs of the Falkner Boot and Shoe exhibit. Listen to generations of writers speaking to each other a radio programme about the Sole2Soul project. The app has 4 sections: About, Commission, Narrate, Curate and Falkner. The Commission tab shows you commissioned creative writing about the Falkner exhibit. The Future Curator tab shows you young curators' takes on particular artefacts from the Falkner exhibit. Sole2Soul was devised by the Centre for New Writing at the University of Leicester. The project was funded by Arts Council England and commissioned by Leicestershire County Council.
