Imam Bukhari received inspiration from his teacher, Isaac bin Rahwaiyah, to write this book. On one day, Isaac expressed the hope that a book should be written only for Sahih Hadith. Among the students, Imam Bukhari proceeded on this difficult task. He started the compilation of this book in the Haram Sharif of Makkah at the age of 23 in H17. After 16 years, after the completion of 233 AH, the compilation was completed. During the compilation of Bukhari Sharif, he used to keep fasting, and before the introduction of each hadith, bathing two rak'ahs, Nafl salat would be confirmed about the purity of the Hadith through murakaba and meditation. In this book, he did not compile all the Sahih Hadith. Rather, those who have been promoted on the condition that had been established in the Hadith, have been recorded.
