About Building Start
Building Start is a field services platform used in construction and engineering to perform centralized test plan authoring and management and push the test plan from the cloud to field devices to perform on-site field testing digitally. Applications include Airnab and BuildingTest. This can be used for paperless air and water balancing and paperless commissioning.
Once a field technician has been assigned a project, they can receive the project on their field device and perform the test plan and responses offline and synchronize them back into the cloud when they complete their work for the day.
Building Start is widely used in the construction industry with over 30,000 construction projects digitally captured in such efforts as Test, Adjust & Balance (TAB), Building Startup, Building Commissioning (LEED, Green Building,etc) and Energy Audits.

Needs work, I've used this for two years now and crashes are quite frequent (five times a day). My company uses this but I'd much rather make my own excel sheets so it can actually be manipulated and changed to user preferences.

The app does what intended, and in some cases more. A lot of the reviews that are less than 5 stars need to be updated to reflect the newest version.

I use this app on on a Samsung S-4. It works great for data entry, and is very easy to use. I like the continued upgrades that are constantly being done. I would like to get the wireless connectivity back that once was available with the PDA's. Hopefully soon.

Building Start rules the TAB field! I've been using Beta Building Start Android since it's inception. The switch from PDA to BS was tough at first, but their build team always did a top notch job working through the kinks. The most recent update makes Building Start the user friendly app that my company grew to expect from AirNab in it's day. Building Start works seamlessly through all of our devices from data collection to data review and reporting. Keep up the great work and excellent customer service.

But compared to the iPad version, it feels lacking. I specifically use android only devices and the iPad app looks and works better, in my opinion. I'll give five stars when I see an updated ui and more options/functions.

I like the app over all, but there are a couple things i wish they could change. First off on the equipment. If they could use a different color scheme. The unit information and the data information blend together. Some times you get lost looking for the box to put the required information in. Second thing would be when you are putting in grille readings or putting in a traverse just bring up the numeric keyboard. I do not need the whole keyboard to put in numbers. Makes it twice as hard.

1.Recommend a "synchronization complete or failure" notification be installed. 2. For values that are known to be numerical the keyboard should default to the number pad(?). e.g. outlet readings, static pressure readings, volt and amp readings.
