Dhammapada - Buddhist Book

Reading the Dhammapada has changed my life. When I'm struggling to control my emotions I will always return to this simple app that gives me strength and focus. I can never thank you enough for sharing this great wisdom.

Please create such an app for comprehensive study of Abhidhamma. The knowledge of Buddha has fully changed my way of life. Happy that I still have half of my life to rectify undesirable behaviour. Looking around everyone fighting over perceptions, now his knowledge seems all the more relevant. Thank you all that because of people like you, ordinary people like us still have an option to know him and contribute to nature and humanity for better.

I have not completed this book, but from the 12 chapters I have had the pleasure of reading to interpret in my own way. I've made the connections from the very nicely translated stories and even further through different perspectives through the commentaries in which helped me reflect even further. I see my self as a modern lay- disciple. With the words of the bhudda ever imprinted in my soul; my perception of the world, contexts of reactions, finding happiness, and to embrace happiness with the intense realism of the wisdoms.

Began my spiritual journey here, and have since learned a great deal not only about myself, but the world as a whole. Must read for sure.

The book has inspirational verse that is beneficial in day to day life. It helps to follow the silas and living a life with awareness and Samta . thanks for the wonderful book. With metta.

The entire Dhammapada - including Buddha's past lives stories that demonstrate each point - in English

Very nicely written dhamapada verses, complete with background stories and explanation of each word. Please add search feature or at least a link to important monks (Tissa, Sariputta, Kassappa, Mogallana, etc) and places (Savatti, Jethvana, etc) in the stories. It will help in understanding Buddhist history also.

I'm a non Buddhist, and this app is really great for people like us to understand Buddhism properly. Superb.

The conversion is great, stories are depicted in very beautiful manner. For a better pronunciation the Pali verses can be written in Devnagri script as well as English. We need such apps.

The analyses by the venerable bhikku are superb and actively aiding the development of my practice. The side by side Pali to English is also beneficial.

Thanks for the everyone who spend a tiny bit of their time for digitalizing this great book. It is easy to read and understand. Even for some Buddhist this book will give things to think again and again. The original book contains the pure teachings of Lord Buddha.
