Link2SD for Android
My Samsung Galaxy On5 (rooted) doesn't let me move apps' obb files, tried it (even bought the premium version) but it didn't work. My mobile uses "sdcardfs" system to store files but when I tried it to change to standard "fuse" filesystem, it caused my device to crash and made unable to detect any ext. storage. I had to revert back changes. It was my only hope but as it turns out to be worthless, I have nothing but hate for trusting this app.
Thoght i could move apps....even bought add free version. Just re directs to app settings to move app. Then when i couldnt...asked if i had root access. Which i dont....i thought id found a simple way of moving apps without being an android nerd....i was wrong
I just absolutely love this app! I'm always flashing roms on my phone and this is one of the first apps that I always install. It let's me easily remove all unwanted app and move apps to my SD card. Thanks devs! I truly appreciate your work
I've been looking forbthis since my OG Droid in '09. Enables my current S4 to use far more apps by moving non-performance-critical apps to partition on extsd. Only way to make better would be a partition manager built in! Down-rating for unresponsive dev.
Doesnt work. Only brings you to the phone storage moving method (which doesn't work on my phone for some reason). When it tries to use its own moving system, it comes up an error. So literally does nothing.
Don't buy this...is not working properly. The main paid feature "link internal data" if I used this feature then applied application getting an error link unfortunately stop this apps and those application won't work.
I try upgrade to pro but cannot install.. my credit alredy deduct 30sec after i click buy but still no action , then i want to get my money back i click refund but nothing happen.. wtf ! I want my money back.. what the problem with that? Damn ..
This is THE BEST app of its kind. Even more so than ones that have higher ratings. It's ridiculously simple to operate. Takes up very little memory. It works flawlessly. Zero complaints from me. Only high praises!
Useful but also constantly asks for Root permissions even when the app isn't in use. It's really annoying and I had to set SuperSU to deny it by default. None of my other root apps do this and even when denied I see every time it tries to gain access (only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars)
On my LG-X, was unable to successfully move any apps to SD. Received pop-up message of 800mb cache/leftover files to clean - with push click 'yes' to do so. A second later, same pop-up, again, and again. Even tapping 'cancel' will make pop-up disappear 4 only for seconds, before it becomes annoying. Of course, I'd like it to do its job! It's not. Uninstalled.
GREAT APP BUT......LICENSE IS TRASH. CRACKED OLD VERSION WORKS BETTER!!! The license I paid for a couple weeks ago stopped working on the device it was installed on. No wonder the community provides patches. ;-) Otherwise, it works great and is still worth the buy even if you have to steal it to get it to function.
I split my sd card to ext2 and fat32, but i can't install kali in linux deploy + when i select install all things to sd card everything is being installed to internal storage.. Bullshit
Hi I'm having problems with this application and lineageos 14.1. Partitions look like properly mounted but I cannot link any app since it always asks for a reboot in the device and never works afterwards. Same problem even after upgrading to Link2SD plus. Thanks for your help
Mine is a samsung phone which is not rooted.. how to give the root permission? Also how can I partition my external SD card. If you can help me out I am ready to upgrade to the paid version.
Works great at first. But after several phone restarts, storage running out problem strikes again though I have linked almost all the app. Tried to look for the solution but no one seems to know what's causing it. Will give this app 5 stars if I just get the solution.
This app is good at its basic functions. However, the only problem I have with it which made me ditch it is the inability of Link2sd to remount my external SD card partition during Reboot (Or after I turn ON my device). It always gives a Mount Error and won't display my Linked Apps until I give a soft-reboot of my device. The App that solved this problem is App2sd which is as efficient as this too. I hope this problem will be resolved in order to give optimum satisfaction to Users.
Lacks a lot of features. My SD card died, and now I have to clean manually every broken app in /data/sdext2 folder, links are still there but the apps are gone, so I can't reinstall them unless manually cleaning them. No fix permissions (had problem with uids). Clearer storage usage (which app is eating my internal storage).
Buy this app it worth more then Gold increase Rom 100% . This app gave new life to my phone I was near to throw my phone but now I installed 500% more apps then before Thank you LINK2SD team. NOTE: for kitkat and above use Ext4 for SD .
I use this app to get an Android 6 experience (sd card as internal) on my Android 5 phone with 8GB of storage. This app has helped me use this phone for probably two more years by moving apps to the SD (of which I have a 64GB with 2 partitions á 32GB). I also HIGHLY recommend buying the 2$ premium version (it's still a fraction of the price of a new phone). Only error I have is that it sometimes causes apps to misbehave, but I can live with it...
It does what it says up to a point. Unfortunately when my tablet is left for a long time it goes into deep sleep and disconnects the SD card. Upon waking the tablet everything continually crashes until I reboot.
Ay first I had some trouble with functionality, but it's improved alot with updates. At this point I would definately recommend this to download. I will update this after rooting my phone
If you move any app related to google it breaks every app related to google, if it involved Google play services, it crashes. Can't play Clash of Clans because it uses Google play services. Fix this!
This app is very useful. I have a Galaxy Tab E, with 16GB internal storage and a 30GB single partition SD card. I am running Android 6.0.1 and I have a large number of apps installed. Being able to move apps to the SD card easily has proved invaluable. Link2SD show one a list of movable apps, makes moving them simple, and when the apps are loaded they run flawlessly. The app also indicates which apls reside on the SD card. My only issue is that sometimes the apps don't load on startup, although a hard reboot, or start/refresh of the app usually fixes this problem. Perhaps it happens because I only have a single partition SD card and the app seems to want a special Samsung 2 partition SD card. I have done just reached out to the developer and will postpost the results subsequently.
Looked good but it just takes me to an existing screen where I still can't shift the app. I suspect that the app works for many people because they could have shifted the apps anyway - without this. Maybe a bit like taking multivitamins and being sure they're working wonders....
Not working on Android 7.1 rooted. Used it on an older device worked great. Now with a SD with two partitions one fat the other partion ext2 or ext4 the mount script cannot be made. So the whole link2sd won't work at all! So sad because with my old device android 4.2 it worked great!
amazing concept that should exist native in Android, but there you go. I have a LG G Vista with 8 GB of memory, so as you can imagine I really needed this app. Once I spent the appropriate amount of time figuring out how to get the thing rooted (about 3 days) this was the first thing I got. It's worth while to get the paid version because it allows you to simlink everything to the card's second partition. Kudos
This app allowed me to get around the Netflix limitation of only storing downloaded offline content to internal memory. I can now put it all on my SD card. Worth the $2.35 I paid so I don't have to figure out how to do it all myself from the command line. You need root for this app to work.
Doesn't work for my Moto G 2nd gen with CyanogenMod. What I wanted is better support for app2sd functionality (bulk changes). Unfortunately this gives me error that App2SD is not supported on my device. It's not true however and it works perfectly fine from system itself.
Used this app for 3-4 years I think, never seen anything as easy to use or as complete as this one. Still, makes me sad to see bad reviews from people who don't bother reading or Googling stuff. I suggest moving the current tutorial from "about" to its own section. Or make a startup tutorial, and maybe put a link for "how to partition sd card" for those who don't know Google exists ;)
BUY THIS APP even if you don't need the extra features. really, for only around $2, the developer has done a fantastic job. i recently rooted my BLU LIFE XL and use this Link2SD with a 32G card to install all of my apps. i love it. it works perfectly, the FAQ is easy to understand and explains things very well. i may try to change the size of my SD card's partitions, or use a 64G card, because this tool is just SO useful! it makes it so that i WANT to load a ton more apps than i used to before (especially all of my Kobo, Kindle, and Google books).
Lovely app, and I've used it for years... However, the developer, for whatever reason, has delayed compatibility with Marshmallow + ... Have bought the Pro key, and retain my license, but, until things change drastically, have bought Apps2SD Pro, as the lady developer has stayed current with OS updates. Still, though, I'm amused at those who really don't know how to use their devices, and somehow expect Mr. Akpinar to give a training session. Folks, if you don't know how to root, or to use any of the advanced Android techniques, it's on you to learn... not on a developer of a specific-use app. Mr. Akpinar, when can we expect an update, good sir? You've said that full Marshmallow and Nougat functionality is forthcoming... Android 6.0.1 has been a going thing for more than a year now... Most new devices tend to come with at least that.
My S4 Active storage (16GB, but a lot less is free for apps) soon filled up with less than 100 apps. Standard Move to SD was so frustrating because it killed off widgets, and because it had to be repeated after each update. Links2SD solves these issues completely - I have an 8G partition on my SD card and over 250 apps there all working and updating seamlessly as if they were in storage
I've paid for it... And I have to use a free app to make the mount scripts... And the pro version of that app probably works better than this one. I'm on Marshmallow and it always gives problems with external folder, like opening a thousand pop ups saying "Rebind external folders". That the major problem I am, please, PLEASE let this app be THE BEST ONE
Whenever I link my apps to sd and update them, they will revert back to its previous version when I reboot my phone. For example my app is v.7.1 and updated to v7.5. When I reboot it will go back to 7.1 again please fix this overall it's a great app
I'm giving 1 star to Google play store, b'cuz this pathetic app is not working. I'm using best 3g network of my area and my device is just one year old. It is very annoying .
Dont listen to those who rated 3-stars and below, they just dont know how to make this work or their device isnt fully rooted. It works 100% fine for me :D
Its really frustrating for me to download any app without getting storage warning. But with this app, i can easily moved heavy apps onto my 16 GB sd card! Thank you so much!
I have a Dell Venue that only has 9 gigs of memory that if available to the user, after I installed a few games and 3 movies I had very little storage to work with. I installed this app and now I can move apps along with the obb to free up space, it's a godsend as I can't get Marshmallow on my tablet, this app is great and very user friendly.
Mine is a samsung phone which is not rooted.. how to give the root permission? Also how can I partition my external SD card. If you can help me out I am ready to upgrade to the paid version.
