Sky News

There is crap, and just below that, there is this app. Sky News offers nothing but biased reporting, out dated information and several links to their latest cause. In the field of international news reporting, this app is a joke. Their bias towards certain world leaders is clear, as is their muted response to reporting current affairs. And as for the revenue based clickbait at the bottom of the bottom every page, Outbrain, I believe the company is called , this is both unnecessary and frankly intrusive on the whole user experience. For true, unbiased reporting, I recommend the Reuters news app. As for the sky news app, I am about to uninstall it.

It used to be a very good app however Sky are getting too greedy once again. The adverts are simply ridiculous. I have a full sky TV and broadband package which I'm paying a lot for in terms of TV and broadband packages. Now this, Sky's day is coming. People are getting fed up with their antics. Pure greed

News and sport is reports are outdated with latest happenings often not added, for example, the recent ELC semi final reports are not on 2 days after the first one was played. Prefer the BBC app.

I cannot stand the new look of your Sky News App and most of all you have taken away the your Widget , Looks like it's the BBC App I'll be getting now. The top stories section is updated often big the other sections are not. For example it is not January 17 and there are sports stories from January 4. Very lazy people over at SkyHQ

Very good, informative however annoying that I get a notification that does not link me to the news story. For example I click the notifications and it opens the app but does not take me to the news story. This means half the time I have to search to find the article and most the time I either don't bother or can't find it. Kind of makes having notification pointless really.

I've had this app a long time now. It's ok. I would love it to always open on a chosen tab, ie UK. I'm fed up opening the app and it defaults to 'top stories' which every single day has a picture of Donald Trump. Also, let us arrange the tabs so we can group the ones we view most, together. Then you get 5 stars. :-)

Fed up with the pro-EU, anti brexit reporting. Brexit won get over it. Use Itv news instead for a unbiased view of the news

Ever since the last update the app will not open at all. I have used this app for years and I'm really disappointed this has not been fixed yet as I have sent numerous reports over the last couple of weeks. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didn't help. Please fix this!!!

Is there a way to turn off some of the categories. Adding Brexit was bad enough but now Trump has been added. Would have been 5 stars before as I really liked it.

Hate the new 'Trump' tab. The man is not important enough to have his own tab and this isn't even an American news service. Won't be using it at all...

Biased and inaccurate, especially around events in the middle east. Not bad for the weather, they sometimes get that right at least. Wouldn't bother.

The sport section is not up to date. News is OK although still continuously dominated by President Trump. Will be uninstalled if sports remains the same.

I like the app with 1 exception. When I receive a news notification, when i link to it i just get the headlines and usually that story of interest isn't there. If this was resolved I would easily change from 3 to a 5 star review.

How about when you send me notifications of a story, and I click on it, you actually show me the story that I was notified of? Getting real tired of reading half headline and never getting to know the rest.

I thank the sky app makers as I have very sensitive eyes and a white background hurts my eyes and now applying the black background is a lot easier for me to read Sky news so a big THANK YOU and please please keep this in hour updates

Deleted because of irresponsible reporting on the recent police shooting. Is Sky really supporting the claim it was a pre planned assassination? Absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible.

Offering free live video is something I do appreciate very much, but the video resolution is pretty low. I get that free live video doesn't allow much bandwidth to make it to be free, but I think there are better trade off than this excessively low resolution that I personally would rather have to keep your bandwidth requirements within affordable specs. One way you can boost video resolution while keeping within your bandwidth limit is to reduce the video frame rate to around 14 frames per second. Other way would be to decrease the audio sampling rate to 22.5kHz, but you shouldn't go lower than 11.25kHz. I would find either or both of these solutions more preferable than the the very low resolution your are currently offering. I would like to see an increase to around 240 lines if possible. Interlacing can also help. At any rate, I like what you are doing here.

A notification pops up so you click on it and expect to go to the story. You don't, in fact I couldn't even find the story the notification referred to. Bloody rubbish application written by idiots.

News generally is OK but don't bother if you're interested in sport - old news, not regularly updated

Same depressing stories for weeks & weeks, in fact some stories under the 'strange' title have been there 2 or more MONTHS!

Too many ads. Gone down hill even further with additional advertising and rip off promotional advertising links. Come on Sky you can do better

629 Mb in 2 weeks for a news browser that only cycles stories about twice a week? Come off it! Deleting.

Used to be a good app to use on my mobile. Please please tell me why you use a video in the main headlines without any description about the video and it's content?Where when why people hurt outcome? etc.......

Guys. I used to check for news here but content is not really being updated as expected. Sport news days old let alone other pages. 50% of all news are death or killings related makes readers only more and more depressed. Time to move on to bbc or itv I suppose.

This app is so good you can find out everything and anything that is going on all around the world so if i was u i would install it right now

Saw the app has been updated, so trying it again. But my ESET security app still flags Inmobi.D as unsafe so I may not keep it. Old review:The ad popups drive me crazy! Moreso as they lead to rubbish articles which are too long and just trying to impress. I'm one finger away from uninstalling, just hoping it will improve. Next up, it's being flagged with a virus. Has been uninstalled, but I keep checking in the hope it will be fixed. Still one of the best and quickest news apps - when it works properly.

... now with the black theme and w/o pale fonts and white surface. It is time now to make the wider choice of the widgets with readable size of fonts and biger pictures.

Awful app, you get headline alerts that can't be read properly, when you go into the app there is nothing related to the headline alert!!!

Uninstalling. Constantly being asked about location, photos, etc., even though I keep having to tick 'never ask again'. Very frustrating.

Since the update keeps saying 'unfortunately sky news has stopped working'. Tried reboot. Now trying uninstall!!

Your update hasn't sorted out the the notification problem you click on it and it doesn't take you the the story and also you can't find the story thst corresponds with your notification grrr

Got a notification off sky but when I go on the app it's not there why is slow to update come on sky sort it out

Loving the new version but it can be very frustrating. When you click news alerts you don't get necessarily brought to the actual article.

I have alerts set up to notify me of breaking news. However I receive the alert but when I click on it there is no such news on the site. Completely pointless

Stopped working a lot then adds kept coming up and stopped the app from working I deleted in the end
