Sky Go for Android
Gives me error 99z claiming my device is rooted. Um..... Just checked. My device IS NOT rooted. Something for you guys at Sky to finally get round to sorting I think. This is 2017 after all. Whether my device is rooted or not shouldn't make any difference in this day and age. Anyway. Rated 1 star for crap rootchecking code and forcing me to remove a device to add the supposedly rooted one and unable to swap it back for a month. Well played sky..... Your app sucks
Wouldnt give 1 star. Crap. Come on sky get a grip now get error code 9. This is a joke now. Not able to watch sky go for nearly a month so what am I paying my subscription for. Get it bloody sorted. Also notice you can't even be bothered to comment on ppl comments. Poor customer service!!!!
Had error code 9. Read up that you need to uninstall SkyGo, then restart your phone, then download SkyGo again and then sign back in. Will ask for permissions to be granted. Just grant them, sign in and away you go. Mine works fine now.
This new update is terrible. If you want to watch catch up then be prepared for constant interuptions with adverts. Also keep getting error codes in live play and in catch which means having to restart app. Change for the sake of change. I really wish I'd kept the previous version. All I can hope for is that the next update corrects all the current flaws.
I am always on this app and its good but, the watch now options doesn't work. You'll watch a programme for 1 minute and then it says system error! It's so annoying. Please fix and I change the rating to 5 star THE NEW UPDATE SUCKS!
With new update I can no longer watch catch up of sky sports. Even though we pay for it and pay for sky go extra. This is a joke. Will only let me download to sky box? Which makes no sense at all. I want to be able to watch on my tablet not on sky box or why would I pay for sky go extra. Sort it out sky!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since latest update that makes it very similar to the Sky Q app, their is a screen rotation bug, when the phone is turned from landscape to portrait or the other way, the picture is the only showing on a small corner of the screen. This is on my Huawei Mate 9 unsure at current time if it is just a fault on update with this phone or across the board
Since the update I keep receiving error code 9 which forces me out of what I was trying to watch but not before shoving 2 minutes of adverts (which streamed flawlessly!) down my throat. Awful.
Error code 9. Every time! Sky services won't help at all online isn't much help either! I pay for sky services but can't get the bloody app to work.
Keep getting error code 9, it seems an awful lot of people are having this issue. It worked fine for ages and I loved. Please help
The worst update yet. Doesn't work properly sort it out sky.
Works fine on my Samsung s7 phone but not at all on my Samsung s2 tablet. All I get is error code 9.
New update doesn't work - constantly get error code 9. Shame on you Sky - you take loads of money from me and can't update the app properly !!!!!!
It really is GOOD when it's working. ☺ Don't get me wrong, it works, but sometimes it just does my nut in trying to get it.
Got upgrade and no longer able to watch sky go on my tablet when I phoned sky they said we are aware of the problem but not willing to help fix it ,shocking thinking about canceling all of sky .
what a crap update u need to sort this out go back to old version atleast u wer able to find the programme u wanted to watch now i carn't find the thing's i want to watch it's i had to give 1 star just to review this crap orherwise it's a minus 5star this time get it sorted sky...
After new update, quite a few channels have gone dodgy, saying "The codec reported an error. Error code 14". What is this?
New version doesn't support android 6.0.1 so if you have a nexus device, you are stuffed. I used to use this app every day, makes commuting more bearable but looks like I'm off to iPlayer etc. Neither does sky wi-fi support 6.0.1 so two services I am paying for that I can't access. Come on sky, get it together. Zero stars rating.
What the hell is problem with the codec, I pay you people a lot of money every month get it sorted
Don't like the new update can't watch programs like old app only allows you to record to hd box that is ok if you have one! Bring back old app it's much better!

No issues, can watch all sky channels I'm subscribed to. Let's hope the new update I've just done doesn't ruin the app.

The number of channels available to Watch now has greatly reduced. I expect that Sky want me to buy a Sky Q package at greater cost.

Rubbish revamp
So far I have had no problems with the app and am enjoying the box sets. The only downside is you can't save your favourite shows on a favourites list, you have to search every time either using the search feature or looking for the channel but hope that changes sometime in the near future.
This app is supposed to let you download programs and watch them on the go. The majority of times I try to watch content on the go I get a message to restart the app. If I'm at home and have a wi-fi connection it works perfectly. So Sky's definition of 'on the go' includes having active wi-fi. What about planes, trains and automobiles! Sky are charging me for a service that they can't deliver.
Pros: #Lots of content. #Streaming is seamless. #Great video quality. #Interface looks smart. Cons: #When looking for a show in categories, the availability is limited. However, if you search manually for a show it's nearly always there. So unless you know to do this you would believe the show it isn't on SkyGo. #No function to manually or automatically save what you're watching, you have to search for the show everytime and remember which episode you were on. #Can only download content if you keep the app open the whole time. #Playback function is very limited. Literally only a scrub bar and play/pause. #No subtitle option. #No personalisation at all.

Why not let rooted phones work with this app. Catch up, will show you 3 ads then closes app(why is there ads if you pay way more than Netflix). If WiFi goes off for a sec it closes show and you have to go all the way back to find it again. New look is very bad, using, ON NOW, then press back to channel view it goes back to main menu instead. Very poor app. -5
