Sky WiFi for Android
Long time ago after upgrade phone 2 s7 and only worked os s4 #Samsung phone booo
Doesn't support Marshmallow so completely redundant since upgrading my phone. No plans to fix it either according to Sky
Here does anyone know when this app will get updated for marshmallow or will it ever get the updated
Should be removed from play store. Installed it to be told to go download the new version

I'm a new customer and I was really looking forward to be able to use all the new features. I've finally got it all working only to find that it won't register my device. Apparently its something to do with its iOS, strange since it's an android phone, but either way it's asking me to download an updated version of the app, which again is strange been as though I've just downloaded it. Would be nice to be able to use all the features I'm paying for as a sky customer, as I thought that was the whole point?
Got all the way through the download process to be told 'I needed to update app to latest version'...strange that, as I'd downloaded what was being offered 30 seconds prior?!?! Come on Sky app team...you pride yourselves on at the forefront of technology and your app doesn't support the most popular smart phone on the market? One star purely on that reason and to get your attention...although once it works I'm sure it's great!
Please sort this out, I've read what other users have put and yet this has still to be sorted. I've been a member of sky for over twenty years now and I have to say I'm most disappointed. Come on sky for the price I'm paying for your product I'm expecting better. Maybe its time to leave and find a new provider.
States it works with Android 4x OS or later it doesn't work with S6 or S7 any version. Just had an OS update and thought great it might actualy work now after all it's been nearly a year since I got my S7 no such luck still does not work. Strangely though the one that I use from Virgin because I use their mobile network works fine. Come on Sky sort this mess out.
Doesn't work says I need to upgrade but I just downloaded it. Apparently it is not supported by my ios app...I got it from Google play on my ANDROID phone. Sort it out Sky! I am a new customer and pay for unlimited broadband...this however has been very limiting
Still no update for Android M, still the error message saying ios not supported. Ridiculous since update from Android lollipop to marshmallow yet market leaders SKY are no where nearer an app update. What's the point of having SKY WIFI when we can't use the WIFI?! Cmon SKY, this should've been prepared for at the time Android 6.0 was released.
Leading OS on the market and you can't be bothered to make your app work for your customers who pay for your Internet services and are promised cloud access? Android marshmallow has been out a good few months and the S7 for a few weeks and your app still doesn't work. Its the only one left. GET IT FIXED.
Unlike the BT WiFi app it don't connect via your home hub nor its own hotpots. It can never find your location and blames your perfectly working data connection. Maybe sky should be more original instead of trying to compete with other leading brands that actually have got this whole hotspot thing down.
Doesn't work on my Nexus 5. Says I'm using an unsupported version of iOS! All this, despite showing as compatible with my device in the Play Store. I assume the issue is that I'm using Android 6 "Marshmallow'. Even so, Android 6 has been out for six months now, so it's unacceptable not to be supporting it by now.
Doesnt work with my device?? I have a Galaxy s6..... i could understand if it was a rare phone or the very latest but its very popular and been out for over a year now. Get it sorted sky this is crazy bad from your app team
New S7 and can't add my phone to device list. Any other way to do it? Going to get more pressing as more people get M. Come on Sky, get your finger out!!! *** Update: The lack of effort in fixing this has contributed to me kicking Sky to the kerb for all the services I had with them. Vote with your feet folks.
Very disappointed that I can't register my Marshmallow devices with the app. Even more disappointed that the error says I have the wrong version of iOS which kinda shows what kind of sloppy development we're dealing with. I'd expect better from Sky.
By the time this supports my alleged "ios"??? android 6.0 marshmallow. No support for nexus 6P. Now 7.0 Nougat, but still thinks this is iOS... Come on sky, bunch of apple fan boys. Also what is the point in this app. When I can sign up to the cloud directly once connected to the service for free, without the need for sky??
Like many others this does not work with android 6.. i even contacted sky and there response was just to sign in when you are by a hot spot.. and they are working on the app..3 months have gone by..i guess they paid too much for the footie to pay the programmers a decent wage..will delete and save the space i wish there where negative stars on here
Sky broadband down for a week, tell me install Sky WIFI and not supported for Galaxy Note but Sky thinks it apple - says it all really. Complete let down - broadband, Q and now WiFi. They seem not give a toss about customers. Will a get a reply..... nahhhhhh!!!! I will be lucky if this gets on as a review. PANTS...
Have used for years on other devices. Just got a Nexus 9 and the app refuses to add the device, says not compatible with iOS device. Obviously not right. The workaround is to use your device to connect to theCloud WiFi outside of the app, select other provider on the login page and choose sky. You get diverted to their page where you can add the device. Pain but works and now my Nexus 9 appears in the app too.
"This app is incompatible with my iOS" - what you talking about Sky, all I've done is update the software on my Android 6 Moto G3 - yet another reviewer who is now locked out of the app. I wonder what is the point of these reviews - Sky obviously don't read them!
Will not work on our phones a Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy J5 nor will it work on our tablets a note pro and a Lenovo. Very poor from Sky thankfully our contract is only 12 months as this service was one of the reasons we switched. If you're going to provide a service have the manners to do the job properly.
App does not support either current version of android 7 or the previous version 6. Making the app next to useless for android customers. Really should not be hard to sort out but a whole android version has come and gone without an update to resolve the issues.
My broadband is down and has been for 3 days. Spent 3 hours on the phone in total. So I thought great I will download this handy app ... oh no silly me it doesn't work either. Sky prog dev obviously haven't created an updated version. Don't hold your breaths!
After having the Sony Xperia 2 for over two years (and has been working with this app) when I try to connect it says "sorry this app cannot work with your IOS (Marshmallow) please upgrade with to the latest version of the Sky app". So I uninstalled and reinstalled and it is exactly the same version with the same message.
Can't even recognise Android Marshmallow so won't allow you to register device. This has obviously been highlighted months ago and nothing has been done to fix it!! Pathetic! Only given 1 star because giving 0 is not an option.
I got a phone call last night, from sky telling me about this app and I told him what phone I have and he said I would be brilliant.. well it doesn't f**king work!!! Oh and neither does my WiFi at home.. sky all together is crap and when my contract finishes I'm leaving!
Think you need to tailor your error messages on your Android app for Android, not Apple!!! Can you also perhaps get round to supporting the Nexus range on Marshmallow. Only a few months left and you'll be playing catch-up again, when Android N is released.
Another android user fallen foul to the talk of a sky expert who raved about the app. Can't rave about it if you can't use it though.... I thought we were living in an equal opportunities world. Not in Sky's eye clearly. Rubbish :-(
I hate that I have to give this even 1 star. Not worth the time it takes to download. Manage to sign in to the app then I can't register my android device because I'm running an unrecognised version of ios. So poor it makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Try to register my Samsung galaxy edge s6 and I'm being told yous don't support to iOS update and need to update ur app? It's up to date supposedly so yous need to sort this fast and add more hotspots their few and far apart
I'm on an android phone, not iOS. Has this been coded on a Commodore 64 because it's telling me to upgrade as my iOS isn't supported. And it's the latest app too, so I can't upgrade either. Bit daft putting it on Google play if it doesn't recognise android phones.
Not recognising the different OS between android n apple is a disgrace to Sky. My S7 couldn't be registered n was identified wrongly as ios. Fix this Sky or take app down completely. Utter shame n brand damaging!

Unsupported iOS that's pretty great sky your application can't recognise that android M is not iOS its good to know your at the cutting edge of technology is your app creating team doing the coding on a zx spectrum
Doesn't work correctly on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Nexus 5X. When trying to register a device it says "Sorry, this app is not supported by the iOS version installed on your device. Please upgrade to the latest version." Yes, you read that correctly, it did say iOS.
