About Textmail

Textmail is a high quality app that helps you quickly and easily send your text (SMS) and picture (MMS) messages. Send yourself all the picture messages your friends send you, or your conversations for re-reading later. Designed for Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, Textmail starts with an intuitive conversations list that allows you to quickly send messages in a tap. Graphic assets are designed with extra-high dpi screens, as well as all other resolutions, in mind.

Textmail has been tested on a variety of devices, including the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, Atrix, Droid X, Incredible, Captivate, Fascinate, and others.

Explanation of permissions:

READ_CONTACTS: Used to pull names for contacts in the conversations list.
READ_SMS: Used to read text and picture messages.
WRITE_SMS: Required for READ_SMS. Textmail does not add, remove, or modify any text messages or text message states.
GET_ACCOUNTS: Used to auto-fill the user's Google account information as a default recipient.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used for intermediate storage of attachment assets. Any files created by Textmail are marked for deletion on exit of the virtual machine, and are deleted on exit of Textmail.

I downloaded it and even deleted all of my extra apps hoping it would work but every time I click to open it it automatically closes back up no matter what I do

Glad to see an app that works like it should. No crashes on the Galaxy S and works perfectly. Worth the 99 cents.

I've tried several apps with similar functionality, but this one has worked the best for me. Easily exported my sms and mms history to my gmail on my old Droid 2.
