I have used this app for years and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend it to anyone who may need a printable transcript which details numbers and times of texts in order. You can select just one contact, a few or all. Has always worked seamlessly with all of my Android phones! Excellent value!

X70%

The only app I can find that allows you to backup your MMS messages with your SMS messages together so you can view them in order. Also outputs it to a nicely formatted file so you can view them anytime. Other apps just generate an unusable XML file that's only useful if you restore to your phone.

When it works it works great. But lately getting an error that says something to the effect of error on line 3 and NOTHING gets backed up. I tried emailing the developer for support but no response. The support website is from 2011 with no relevant information. I'm my own to figure it out. Wish i wouldn't have spent the money on this app.

This did what the police departments "universal" software wasn't able to do! Makes a difference when the software is installed directly on the phone rather than a PC. Thank YOU!

Paid for this. Didn't do what I wanted it to do so now it's gone from my phone.

U70%
by U####:

Worked perfectly on my original Droid. Now I have a Droid Bionic and I have the same problem others have mentioned. Instead of the messages coming out as a conversation, they now come out as several of my messages followed by several responses.

U70%
by U####:

Works well, except U can choose a format but it may come out jumbled or different. Gets texts to my email tho and doesnt erase them from my phone!

X70%
by X####:

Fantastic app. Exactly what I was looking for - stored all my mms images into a folder, and put everything in an html file that makes it super easy to browse through. Worth every penny!

X70%
by X####:

Great app, allowed me to extract a 3200 txt&mms message thread as an html file with media pics linked and stored in a sub folder :) desire hd

X70%
by X####:

It's ok. Text archives aren't formatted well. I switched to superbackup (free) and I am much happier.

Y70%

SMS worked on my G1 18mos ago, then I paid to upgrade & the MMS extract has never worked once for me, even on my Droid X. Only extracts SMS, MMS files won't open. Got sick of trying with it & just gave up. Too bad because it works otherwise, but MMS was the only reason I paid to upgrade. :( Seems to work for everybody else. Am I doing something wrong? Frustrating.

Does what it says. Saved a treasured thread that had 2000 texts and had pics. Well worth the money.

X70%
by X####:

Great way to create a readable backup. Lacking ability to backup everything at once into separate thread files but still good.

H70%
by H####:

Tried many others but was unable to extract threads that contained both SMS and MMS. This app extracts the entire thread. Different HTML formats a +.

X70%
by X####:

Does what it says...its reliable and easy to use...won a battle in court thanks to this app :-)

X70%
by X####:

Now works fine after refusing to export XML a minute ago! Would be much nicer to have the output format on the main screen rather than having to go to the preferences screen...

Does what it's supposed to do.

Brilliant. Extracts sms and mms inc pictures into an easy to read/navigate html. Good few options too inc email the output

Don't restore from TB, causes purchased error. Otherwise those is a great app! Works as described. Can view b/u from pc

It keeps saying I don't have a license. I paid for it. I have to hit buy app. Then it opens from the market.

I had a thread grow shy of 7,000 messages in six months. My cruddy phone's performance was suffering, but I wanted the thread archived! Many chunks of conversations existed only as memes. Finding an app that would archive both SMS & MMS was a must! Doesn't seem to allow reupload of messages to the inbox of a new phone, but I don't care. Exports as an HTML document (which can be hard to determine from screencaps...devs *hint* upload more/better screenshots of finished backup, and link to your site *hint*) with locally stored images. Hard to view backup on the phone, but dump the folder on a computer and its good! GT-I8530 Samsung Beam

I'm so relieved to find an app that transfers mms messages to my computer! I have spent the past 5 hours trying to get my mms messages from backup pro. I downloaded this and within 2 minutes- I have what I need.

Using my favorite offline browser I am able to view, categorize, manipulate, and organize all my sms/mms backups. The only thing missing is a scheduler...for now, which I am certain the author is working on one. I really like the idea of a perfect clone of all my messages located in the cloud. Excellent app!

For the past month this app has not been creating an attachment to send ANY messages. Ive deleted the app and reloaded and it still doesnt work. I have also emailed the app to inquire about the issue and received no response. I will no longer recommend that people I know buy this app. Truly dissapponted.

It transfers SMS/MMS to a single html file on SD card quite reliably, including outgoing/incoming MMS pictures. I've examined various apps for a hour or so, and this one is the first one adequate for the task. A minor bug is that it reads contacts names very very slowly, and for about 10% contacts doesn't read the names at all - in those cases it puts bare numbers in the HTML file. Other features are ridden with major bugs, so forget XML, CSV, e-mailing. Also, it is not a backup aplication - you can't restore the original Android messages.

X70%

" WTF did the authors of the original android SMS app do to make it so difficult to migrate conversations complete with media?" said a "Google User". To that Google user; "Why don't you go ask them instead of putting a bad review on someone else's work?" MMS files are NOT to be emailed to the possible size of the EMAIL! Also, this application clearly states it does not do RESTORE (again for good reason, it is intended to be one way since day 1).

... I wanted to transfer 4800 SMS and 50 MMS messages from my Nexus S, to my new Zopo ZP980. The export seemed to work fine,. creating a folder under download, but I noticed that the images exported are only the ones I sent, not the ones I received, so all the MMS messages sent to me are missing the media. This is about the fifth app I've tried to migrate my SMS/MMS with, and they've all failed - WTF did the authors of the original android SMS app do to make it so difficult to migrate conversations complete with media?

Extracted images will NOT be emailed - for good reason. Imagine how big that email with attachment will get. Hence, MMS will stay on SD card. ;)

V70%
by V####:

doesn't send the images with the email. I have never been able to see any images that are "backed up" also, it says you can select other styles (page layouts) and when I selected that option, I was taken to a blank webpage. update it already!

U70%
by U####:

Doesn't make incremental backups just makes additional files and duplicates images from the MMS messages in the gallery. Expected more from a paid app and should be able to change storage location for backup. Also no style templates available. Quite amateurish really.
