About Bridj

Bridj is your everyday transportation system that adapts in real-time to where you live, work, and play. Powered by data, we use a network of express shuttles that offer efficient and flexible trips that are as dynamic as the city you call home. The Bridj app allows you to see multiple options to get to your destination, book trips days or minutes in advance, and track your shuttle in real time. Use code APPSTORE to get your first 5 rides free.

-Express Service. Each Bridj trip is express. You’ll save time by going directly to your destination with no transfers and fewer stops.
-Affordable Fares. Rides cost a little more than a subway fare, but significantly less than taking a taxi or driving. Meaning Bridj can be your everyday commuting option and you’ll always know the fare before you book.
-Reserved Seating. Each Bridj is top of the line. When you enter, you'll sit down in your guaranteed seat and enjoy a quiet ride with free WiFi.

Bridj is available in the Greater Boston & D.C. Metro areas. Request Bridj where you live by downloading the app and searching for a trip.
Please note: currently Bridj is providing rides M-F during the A.M. & P.M. commute.

What people have been saying about Bridj:

“Rather than use the same static routes as your usual city bus routes, Bridj dynamically designs routes that aggregate commuter pickups where demand is highest.” - TechCrunch

“A more interesting variation of the [ridesharing] concept…” -The Economist

“This new-old method of transport [Bridj] has comfortable seats and Wi-Fi. But its real innovation is in its routing. It is a “pop up” bus service, with routes dictated by millions of bits of data that show where people are and where they need to go.” - The NY Times

“It used to take Baston 50 minutes to get to work via train and then a bus. Now she can get into the office in 20 minutes [on Bridj].” - CNN Money

Poor customer service, bus often late, last straw when never showed, they were little help when contacted, had to dispute credit card transaction.

Gets me to work much easier than city transportation... Much more comfortable too

H70%
by H####:

Basic but well thought out. First time pickup is running late. App says 3 to 5 minutes late, but it's more like 10.

P70%
by P####:

it's a it's the same price as taking public transit but a lot faster and more reliable

on my nexus 6 running stock android 7.0

N70%
by N####:

By far the worst travel app ever used. The map isn't clear where the pickup is. Only once you buy the non refundable pass does Bridj provide you those clearly indicate that. Add to that the pickup location in an area isn't the same and the app allows you to buy a pass for a ride you can't get to in time and one can't help but feel its designed intentionally to sell you a ride you can't make or cancel. Uber pool was a buck more, allows you to cancel and if you're a minute late your not out $5.50.

Set start, then a destination get a null exception error every time it tries to get trips. Why not just show where it travels on a map

M70%
by M####:

Cheap rides, nice buses, WiFi works great

R70%
by R####:

The app has me hostage on the 'Please rate' screen. But its stuck...won't let me either submit a rating or decline to submit feedback. Because it won't let me get out of the Please Rate screen, it means I can't pull up the main part of the app to buy a pass. Please fix.

M70%

Just spins and spins searching for location. Cant even get past setting origin or destination HORRIBLE

F70%
by F####:

Crashes frequently

J70%

I have had many days ruined by off-schedule and overcrowded MBTA buses. My commute with Bridj is comparatively stress free and fast.

M70%
by M####:

Still improving the app and increasing service area.

M70%
by M####:

The areas services are terrible. Doesn't even cover all of official Boston, let alone greater Boston. App & Service look like they would be awesome, though.

M70%
by M####:

New app design is a HUGE improvement

M70%
by M####:

Bridj itself is a new take on ride sharing and I think it's an excellent service, if you can get the app to work. 90% of my attempts results in errors. Sometimes I select an origin, and the location starts changing over and over. Other times it crashes trying to set the destination. And the app never works over WiFi for some reason. For every time I've used the service, I've probably made three times as many attempts to use it and simply given up.

C70%
by C####:

Was able to get the app to work...noticed it works better and you don't get an error message when you drag the pinpoints to your origin and destination. Once I actually booked it, pick up was on time, great ride, comfortable, no stops in between, and got to my destination the same amount of time it would take an Uber/Lyft only way cheaper. Also way better than the T or public transportation which has been terrible lately and always late/delayed.

X70%
by X####:

Awkward start / destination entry. No sure if there's no route or its broken... Tried a route listed on the site and nothing happened. If there's no route at least display a message. If its broken fix it, I'm interested to try your service.

M70%
by M####:

Set start, then a destination get a null exception error every time it tries to get trips. Why not just show where it travels on a map

E70%
by E####:

The service itself is incredible. I love it. The app, though... It's prone to crashes. Hopefully the recent update addresses that!

F70%
by F####:

What could be greater than replacing the obnoxious morning green line commute with a relaxing luxurious bus ride (at the same cost)

M70%
by M####:

The app is terribly designed. Half the time it doesn't register a tap event. When searching for an address, you have to tap directly on the text and not a block surrounding the text. As for the service itself, their prices are nearly doubled during morning and evening commute. Price gauging at its best.

E70%
by E####:

The app itself is awful. Feels unresponsive and need to repeat the same action multiple times

W70%
by W####:

Love the service, but the app is slow and crashes frequently.

M70%
by M####:

Love Bridj, but the app is still improving

M70%
by M####:

Bridj is the future of smart mass transit!

F70%
by F####:

Easy to use and very friendly drivers!

M70%
by M####:

Was excited to try this app and use Bridj for the first time, but it won't let me at a destination and buy passes...

M70%
by M####:

Driver "oh man" unprofessional ....
