I actually like this app, better than the iPhone version which is official campfire application. I do wish, however, that chats would be in a different color. So it's easy to differentiate between what you write, when a person joins, and when a person writes to you. Still give it 5 stars though

Campfire for Android which always SUCKS.....

Every campfire client blows and this is the worst of them all since its the most expensive and has no features worth 5 cents let alone 5 bux. This only notifies u of enter/exit and that doesn't even work reliably. completely useless as a chat client without msg notifications. Refund requested.

It's clearly still pretty young and bare-bones, but it *works*, it looks nice, it feels like a native Android app, and it notifies me when someone says something. Very nice.

Simple and usefull

Great app, but the chat log only updates when you leave and rejoin the room... Sorta makes it impossible to actually chat. For the price, basic chat functionality should work.

Best android campfire app

I really want this app to be great, but two things are stopping me: - umlaut characters like å, ä and ö show up as squares in my own messages when the room is reloaded - image uploads does not work. Just an incremented number is displayed in the chat (like 147, and if uploading a new image; 148 and so on)

Works wonderfully except the chat log does not automatically update when new messages come in. I have to reload the room to get new messages to show up. Please fix!

I repeat, does not support emojis

It needs quite a few improvements and it shows duplicate posts. Needs to show number of new messages in the notification box like AndroIRC does it. Notifications for new messages too

Cyrillic text not working - it duplicates text in app, but in web only ???? symbols are visible. And files not working. It would be great to have notifications on any message, not only mentioning my name. These issues still make me using web version

I've used this with an external keyboard on a 10" tablet, as well as my Nexus 7 and Nexus 4. Works well on all devices that I've run it on. Handles multiple rooms nicely. Great Jelly Bean-styled clean user interface. Responsive developer. Not sure why others are leaving bad reviews complaining about features they want. This app doesn't claim to cook your breakfast and feed your children. It does exactly what it says - allows you to chat in multiple Campfire rooms. I even prefer it over my desktop Campfire client (Flint). Great job!

The app is ok, but there is no ability to turn of notifications. Also doesn't appear in the Android share list from other apps. It is pretty, though.

"Campfire for Android that doesn't suck" - I beg to differ. No option to keep the screen on. No option for any type of notification. No search (domains can have dozens of rooms). No settings whatsoever. $5. Really? /refund

You can't upload files or images, and the friend list doesn't show anyone's names at a glance. It's also very slow. Bummer.

Tablet version is nice to have. Doesn't have multiple domain support.

Works alright. But any chance notifications could be added? Especially when someone says your name in the room.

Really like the app. It seems to work well. Would love to have the ability to upload files/images to the chat room.

I have to agree, the alternatives are...lacking. Great job with Bonfire.

Great, clean ui. The dev fixes issues at a very fast pace.

The developer is extremely agile and was able to fix the issues I was having in the same day. The only thing that would make this even better: An option to turn off the "Has entered the room" "Has left the room" messages, as this causes the actual chat to become hard to read. Thanks Dev!

Easily a five if we could see the people in the room in a list somewhere.

If you use Campfire, this app is a must have! Totally worth every penny!

Great app! Clean, intuitive UI , and by far the best campfire app I've tried.
