I love Breitbart, but this app needs some serious refining. Everything from the navigation drawer, to the overall UI and Views. I'd suggest updating the interface to Google's Material Design standards, at the very least. What it is now is basically just a webview, and it doesn't work well with mobile. The general look of the app needs to be on par with the app's content. Also, the ads are downright ridiculous. Maybe offer an ad free pro version for a couple bucks?

Sure, the back button on your phone exits the app, but there is clearly a UI on top of the screen that has page back, page forward, and refresh buttons which are always accessible. It honestly isn't that big of deal. Other than that, it's a great app which provides everything you want in an app like it. I'm glad I have Breitbart easily accessible on my phone at all times, especially in an age where it's hard to figure out who to trust for honest news anymore.

This would be a fantastic app if the back button issue would be repaired. Also, I'd love to see better share options. Perhaps a copy link for sharing other than FB and Twitter as I don't have either one of those. Also, the app keeps giving me a pop up for downloading Avira. My avg virus app says my phone is clean. What's up with that?

This is the ONLY app that has a black window that comes up telling me I have a virus because of adult sites. I don't go to adult sites, so I am assuming this is some kind of ad. Have to close the app completely, before I can go back to Breitbart. Happens in the middle of reading a story or just perusing the headlines. Breitbart at fault. Too many ads, but content better than Drudge.

Beautifully designed and fast news app. Unfortunately, Google keeps making this app close when opening because of their opposing political views. Lately, if you open the app, you may get an "Amazon gift survey". I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now I get a "Wal-Mart survey". Strangely, this does not happen to any of my other 30+ apps I have.

Breitbart, please fix your app. Many bugs and annoying ads. Pushing back exits the app, big t-shirt ad you have to scroll past everytime, and this might be a virus rather than an ad but everytime I use the app some alert keeps popping up warning me I have a virus and that I need to install their anti virus software. I can't get past it unless I exit the app and reopen it. I have faith in you Breitbart to fix it.

The app would be great if every third story I clicked on it didn't turn black and throw up a phony virus infection alert, threatening to lock my phone if I don't click "OK" to scan it. Obviously, I know that's bogus and close the app from the window manager. It's a real pain in the wazoo. Fix that and it will be 5 stars.

Poor design and malware virus pop up ads. Once the "your phone has a virus, click here to clean it" window pops up you can't back our of it or close it without launching the malware. You need to close the app entirely and try to re-open. If you're going to do ads why not just regular annoying ones rather than hijacking scary ones? Breitbart makes itself look bad with this app. I wish it was usable.

ADWARE! Too bad, Breitbart! I was looking forward to using your app. All I got to see on your "app" after downloading was an ad to buy a shirt....then I got a pop up that prevents me from doing anything til I agree to upgrade my security on my Samsung 6....problem with that is...it's a 7, not a 6. Threatening my phone security is not a nice way to start off, and its why I'm deleting the app. Sell legitimate ads to fund your site...not this swill.

The concept is great. With the mainstream media showing mostly leftist news, a conservative outlet is desperately needed. That being said, the app is made terribly. There are pop-ups that you have to restart the app to remove, the screen will darken for no reason and won't go back, and if you hit the back button on a Galaxy phone, it closed the app. If they fix these issues, it'll be great.

While I very much enjoy being able to read Brietbart from my phone, as others have mentioned this app could use a few upgrades. The largest issue by far however is a recurring pop-up that claims my phone has "4 viruses" and wants permission to do something. Please remove this ad.

like many of the other reviews, I'm also getting the anti-virus pop-up. it's quite obnoxious and I have to completely close the app to get it to go away. this is my favorite news app, but I've updated and re-installed the app half a dozen times. please fix this issue.

I get the android virus notification, too, and it's only on this app on my galaxy s4. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but that did not resolve it. It's probably been hacked as so many people radically hate the news site, I'm guessing. I don't like the need to use the back button either as it's very counterintuitive compared to ALL other news apps I use. I crave the content but will have to live without it until these issues are resolved.

Content is good, but the app does not function well at all. And as I read the other reviews this issue has gone on for a long time now. We need a good reliable news source like this but we need an app that works! Get it fixed!

Ads interfere with viewing articles. Pop up ads with no way to close claiming you have a virus forcing a phone restart. This app used to be nice from now on I will simply go to Brietbart on my phones browser...it gives me no display issues and loads just as fast.

Update: The app has that lame virus warning that comes up, hence the two stars. I have news to breitbart, your becoming more respected and growing with influence. Time to cut out the cheesy advertisements and spam.

I have had this app for over a year, and had previously loved it. Yes, it would be frustrating when I would hit the back button and it would close the whole app, but there are plenty of other apps that do that, too. The bigger concern is that daily for well over a month I would have issues with first the whole page going dark, being unable to scroll through and view the stories. I would have to close and restart the app. Then, for the past week or so I would receive a message saying that my specific device was infected with a virus and needed to download something to fix it. This only happened when the app was open, and you could not close out of it without closing down the entire app. When I would reopen the app, sometimes it would reappear, others it would not. Very frustrating. Looking for a replacement app.

The ads are annoying and I constantly get warnings about viruses and damage to my phone when the app is open. They need to boost their security. The reporting and coverage is awesome, but that hardly matters when the app is so crappy. I'm uninstalling it until they make some changes.

Every time I check the news here I get nasty pop ups saying my phone is infected with viruses. I can barely read one article without this happening. Sorry, I love Breitbart but I'm going to delete the app.

Please make the app work using the back button on my android phone. I constantly exit the app because of the non standard function of the back button. And those stupid arrows in the app to go forward and back, they are the dumbest things ever. Please please please fix this app! I finally had to uninstall it due to the massive slow downs the ads cause and the contant virus ransome ware I am getting on pop ups when trying to read news. The ads are so terrible the app no longer even functions. Terrible.

App is constantly hijacked by anti virus malware. Support from the site is nonexistent. I can't make any comments since as a new user I've been blocked just for making a new account. Don't waste you time or energy on this.

This is my favorite news app, however I keep getting a pop up warning of a virus infection, this is the only app this happens with. I AM GIVING BREITBART 5 STARS BUT THE APP GETS ZERO STARS. THE APP IS UNUSABLE. I AM ACCESSING BREITBART FROM THE INTERNET. THE APP IS INFECTED WITH AT POP-UP.

I absolutely hate the navigation in this app. Every time I'm done with reading a story I hit the back button, like I'm used to with other apps, and I end up logging out. I have to reenter over and over again. Content is excellent but why can't you listen to your subscribers and fix the blooming problems? Here it is March 2018 and the same issue still persists.

I absolutely hate the way this app works. You can say that there is a a back forward and refresh button at the top but it works counter-intuitively compared to everything else so I consistently hit the back button to go back to the main menu and it exits the app. It sucks!!

The app has an antivirus pop up that is persistent. It is obviously is not intended by makers of app and refers to need to install avira antivirus software. It only allows me to reed for short time. Is this an attack on the news outlet?

Just downloaded the app even after reading comments about the "back button". It is an issue. Would like the ease of the app. However deleting it now till issue is fixed. Truly sad seeing that it should be an easy fix, not to mention all the one star comments. Come on guys, want to compete with main stream make your app work properly!

Five stars of you fox the following: first, when I open the app there is a huge add that opens up trying to sell me a t-shirt. I have to scroll down a whole screen lines before I can even start reading the news. I understand the need for advertising but come on. Second, once I open an article if I press the back button the entire app closes ones of taking me back to the home page. And third there's no way to share articles via text message. Fix this and you're a world-class app

I was a bit sceptical about this Brietbart and after reading through the comments I was debating whether to download it, but I did and after using it for a while noticed that all of the complaints have been resolved bar pressing the back button on my phone. This small issue is why it's 4* not 5*

Fix the damned back button. Nobody likes your alternate buttons at the top of the screen. Your refusal to listen to your customer base is hurting your public image as well as costing you readers. It's immensely frustrating, and the number one complaint on these forums. A simple fix, but do you even care? WE SHALL SEE.

Other news apps go back to the list of items when you hit the back buttons. This one exits the app. Often it freezes and you have to exit. No matter how many times I hit the close button on the ads, the ad never goes away.

Update still no back button fix and obtrusive intrusive advertising pop-ups are ruining the screen and the experience. Back button causes app closure. Must relaunch app to view another article. Epic fail. Fan of content though. Update still no fix two months later. Using a lot of data because it has to be completely reloaded for each article. Please fix this guys. Extremely disappointing because of no response to fix UPDATE getting worse. Pop up videos are further ruining the already crappy experience. Fix

Great news source but the pop up video ads are so disruptive and annoying. While the ads have pause and x close buttons, they do not work. The ads cover a quarter of the screen and prevent a complete reading of the particular article.. someone needs to develop a breightbart on droid like the Drudge on droid app.

App recently quit showing comment section, I have a galaxy note 4 that recently updated to android 5.1.1,seems like thats when the problem started. The comment section does appear on my tablet that is running an older version than 5.1.1 (Please update app to handle android 5.1 1 and app will get 5 stars)

And that's it. Solid on calling hypocrisy from the left. Negative rating on calling hypocrisy on the right. Good entertainment tho, but very biased entertainment. It will probably do badly once the election hype wears off. Not real news as in accurate transparent news. But no such thing exists so that's ok.

The same reasons as already stated as nauseum in other reviews. Navigation in the app is a huge pain and the pop up adds are absolutely horrendous and take over your phone and you shut the whole app down and open it back up a few minutes later. Please fix these issues, because I love your content but this app is atrocious. Oh and all the sudden a few weeks ago the comments sections on all the articles went away. The best part of breitbart is reading the comments!

I hit the back button and it takes me out of the app, I don't know how to go back to the main page, so I just read headlines and never go into the stories because I can't read another story during that session. The News gathering and writing are tremendous but I have to go to my computer for that.

Since the last update the popup adds are terrible. They float where the close box is offscreen half of the time. Breitbart should consider making this a paid app, I would gladly pay a couple of bucks to go add free. This used to be a four star app, now two or one. It would have been five but hitting your phone's back button kills the app instead of just returning to your prior location.

I LOVE Breitbart. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the news is spectacular. The app constantly locks up and requires 5-7 reboots of the app to read the news. Needs work. But other than that, the quality of news is wonderful! Keep fighting the good fight!

Okay, I know. I'm supposed to tap the button with the three horizontal lines in the top left corner when I open the app up (near the Breitbart logo), but that button won't work, so I'm unable to look at other categories. Fix that, and I'll bring the rating up.
