Welcome to the Virginia Library Association Annual Conference for 2011: “Nature is a Language, Can you Read? Literacy and Sustainability in Virginia’s Libraries.”

This year’s theme reflects two current concerns in our community: the desire and necessity for carrying out our work (and indeed our lives) in an environmentally sensitive and positive way, as well as the library community’s ongoing commitment to spreading and maintaining literacy throughout the Commonwealth.
