Excellent app; provided the most timely news relevant to my professional role on an Incident Management Team. Superb tool for keeping response personal safe during the 2016 RNC, provided accurate information that I could relay faster than radio communication were received. Really disappointed in NBC

Pretty impartial news is what attracted this app to me. A lot of places don't realize their job is to report.. Not interpret the news one way or another. That's the readers job. I'm more than sad to see this app go, I'm down right pissed. The widget was on my home screen and I was constantly scrolling and interacting with articles, videos, and pictures that were being shared. I'm sure someone will find a way to monetize this service and you will be back. At least I hope...

You had zero competition.. at least none that mattered. No other app as good as yours for fast breaking news alerts. I am saddened. Hopefully a big company hires your entire team, in one swoop, and you all get right back to work, and turn this thing back on.

So disappointed to see this app go...Was my "go to" every day, numerous times a day. Best of all news, up to the minute, for around the world. Cannot locate an app to replace. Thank you to all who contributed, and good luck in your future endeavors. BAD decision by management!

When corporate greed gets in the way of an excellent app, you choose to shut it down because it doesn't bring in $$$ for you.. Not everything is about money ya jerks

This application was my go to app. It was the first thing that I wake up to in the morning and the last thing I read at night. Why did you have to pull the plug on such a first rate and one of a kind service. A real bad start to a new year.

I loved this app SO much; I truly feel lost without it. There is no other news source that is as quick or reliable.. I'm still trying to find a comparable replacement and am VERY frustrated with the lack of quality with all others... PLEASE COME BACK!!!!

The greatest impartial news app gone, because NBC needed MEGA

Such a shame. A great app that has alerted me to breaking news faster than other news sources more than I can remember. I would have paid a recurring monthly subscription fee, NBC. Best of luck guys. You did a great job.

You've been the best news editorial I've ever seen (a lot better than NBC), I really know you'll find a better job, a job where your skills are truly appreciated. I hope the best for all of you, i'll be constantly watching for updates on the breaking news team because you are the best on the news market.

This was by far one of the best apps for breaking news with no BS, you got the facts and information way before any other news source even had a clue. Going to miss this app. NBC you really screwed up this time.

I miss this app already. Always first with breaking news, best I've ever used. It really sucks that NBC shut it down. I cannot find anything to replace it yet. Everything else seems inferior in every way. Perhaps most important, everything else seems far more slanted and filtered. Maybe that's the real reason this app was shut down... it often broke news before the propaganda masters had time to decide how they wanted to spin it.

NBC NEWS did all of us a real disservice shutting this app down. You all did a great job for us and this app won't be easily replaced. It was nice to have an unbiased news source. Thanks for the great job you did. And NBC - I will make sure you get plenty of bad advertising for this bad decision.

If it's not some reality TV Facebook live crap then it won't survive. We're becoming a culture obsessed with foolishness and stupidity. Hopefully something even better will come along. Thank you BN for being a bright spot in a dark time.

This was the best app for breaking news. Now was not the time to end. We need it now more than ever. I relied on it daily - nothing compared. Wake up NBC! Or someone else pick up this talented team NOW!

This app is great! I remember getting so excited finding out they had an app that would give me breaking news nodifications WAY before any other news outlets could get them to me. Sad that NBC has shut down the app...I'm not sure what I'm gonna do! Thank you to all the people who worked for this app..You really did a fantastic job!

I checked this first thing when I woke up, all through the day and last at night. Retired now from emergency response career but kept following this app. Bring it back. It was a good app and a great team.

Really, NBC? Dedicated to innovation and you find an app which wholly follows that spirit only to shut it down? So much for your so-called "commitment". Bring BN back.

There's just nothing else like it. Without this I may not find out about big and important things for awhile after they are happening.

So pity this great news app has shut down. It was one of the best news app. Luckily I found an alternative: News Break. News Break is actually even better, not just same great news but a lot more. I suggest every Breaking News user should switch to News Break.

There is nothing that did breaking news as well as this app. The way it notified you the live feed updates. What a waste to just shut it down NBC.

This was the best news aggregator app. We were alerted of events well before news outlets reported on them. Sad to see it go due to lack of funding - would have been willing to pay for the app.

This has been my favorite news app for quick and accurate breaking news ....Sorry to see it's going to close down after December 31.I would pay for App if that would help to keep it going!

No other news service hands local to international breaking news nearly as well. One week in and I already desperately miss it.

I've used your app and followed breaking news on Twitter since 2008 and before NBC bought the rights. Why did NBC shut it down? This was a great and informative service.

I'd really appreciate it if this app was brought back. I've used it for several years and have become aware of some of the biggest stories via Breaking News.

During the above mass shootings... Breaking News was there to guide, inform, correct and counter erroneous info and Social media posts. People the world over are uneasy and need a way to get the Facts as stories build -to defuse tensions, when we hear the words mass shooting. These stories are Too Heavy to just drop on us during TV News, so we start to look away...once we know it's not in our backyard and that would be a real tragedy of our Times. I didn't know NBC was behind this App---but now I do !

I really miss this app! After trying several others it appears this was the best out there. Shame it is gone.

Working in emergency management, this was the app to have, now to look again for something useful. Banjo is pretty good but not as good as this one.

Was an awesome app, it sucks NBC shut it down. None of the other apps come close to this one. Shame on NBC for shutting down such a great service.
