Best E/J dictionary around!!! Tried others but always go to this one. I wish it had more idioms and a list of proverbs.

Hope can create a version with Japanese-Chinese

Tbe only problem i have with this app now is sometimes the translations are wrong. And i think there should be a definition without kanji. Im learning! How am i expected to know kanji. And anyone learning this language wont know how to pronounce the kanji.

The app doesn't show the hiragana or pronounciation of the Japanese words you search! If I search an English word like "study" it just shows the kanji, 勉強 and not the hiragana, べんきょう. This is useless if it is a word I don't know and am trying to figure out how to say it. Some words I did find the hiragana pronounciation, but it's way down at the bottom.

Been looking how to search that isn't the translator for 10 minutes...can't find it. Why wouldn't it be easier to find...like on the first page? This IS a dictionary app

Its a nice app and very helpfull but some words needs exact spelling otherwise it doesn't translate so there should be a autocorrect japanese word option apart from this its a nice app

The best Japanese dictionary I have ever tried! It is very helpful in my Nihongo study... and even when I'm just curious of what a word or line from an anime means. I consult this app whenever a term confuses me or its root word or literal meaning kindles my curiosity. Even learning Kanji is made a bit easier by this because you can search for kanji characters and explore each kanji that composes the word that you are currently viewing. Update: The recent version with a totally different interface kind of lost the things i liked about the previous version. No more searching the meaning of individual kanji of a word using the + sign, no more searching for details of a single character from the word you are currently viewing. In addition to that, the ads are now bigger and are in the middle of the search result >__< I like the online translation, though.

Why has it been changed what if I cant read the kanji? It should be changed back to how it was originally

I wasn't very happy with the search engine. It's not what I expected from a dictionary.

It's helpful but every time I typed the word "Hentai", it's says word not found

I used to love this. The last update changed it completely. It doesn't work as well as it used to and now it's not all that user friendly either. I'm very disappointed. I had to delete it

I can learn a Japanese word that appears automatically while opening the app. Also, there are many Japanese words there that help me a lot to read Japanese news.

- of all the dictionaries i've tried, this one works best for me. thanks Bravolol. I hate to edit my review after getting a reply from Bravolol but i agree with a lot of the other recent comments after the update; the "word of the day" is unwanted and the exclusion of hiragana in the english-to-japanese is really inconvenient. Also, why not make it so alphabetical input searches for English words in Japanese, and hiragana searches for Japanese in English? It makes no sense to have to prioritise one language over another when searching in clearly different languages. If it's for people who can't read kana then give them a romaji only option.

I am not sure if I like this dictionary anymore. No romaji no furigana all we have to do is to touch the speaker button to learn how to pronounce the word which isn't always convenient because it requires an Internet connection.

I just downloaded it and when it gets to 53 secs. of downloading it just crashes. I don't know why, but I have enough space for this app. Please, fix this problem.

I had downloaded it a couple of months ago, worked quite well. But now after update, romaji in definitions is gone. How can you, How dare you?
