About Headphone Connect
Easily assign apps to launch as soon as you connect/disconnect your headphones!
Start the app once and assign your apps. Select any settings or other actions to be performed, and from there a minimal service will run that launches a dialog with your pre-selected apps when headphones are connected or disconnect.

Blacklist

Advertisement is shown when configuring the dialog and actions but will never be shown in the dialog itself.

TL/DR ^^ Android lets you "listen" for different broadcast events and "wake your app up" when they are fired off. For some reason unknown to me headphones being attached to or detached from the device is not something that will "wake an app up". The app has to already be awake in order to actually "hear" that headphones have been connected or disconnect. Naturally this is pretty pointless at least in this app's context. To get around it a service is launched which ONLY listens for that one event so minimal power from the battery is used.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Determines if the device is currently connected to a mobile data or WiFi source. Helps conserve data.
BILLING - Allows for a one time purchase to remove all forms of advertisement. Also used to collect donations.
BLUETOOTH - Listens for when Bluetooth headphones are connected or disconnected.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS - Determines what app is currently in the foreground. Used in the blacklist feature.
GET_TASKS - Same as the above ^^ (Deprecated only used on pre Lollipop devices)

All works again after updating. ????Dark theme works well. Only one thing though,...that stupid Mary Poppins loss of hearing pop-up is still showing up, when plugging in the jack headphones. Not a deal breaker. Still a 5⭐ Thanks Jack.????

How to use the app: When you install it, add the app you want, Then go to Settings>Connect and turn on Activate Service. And also if you want it to simply open the app, turn on Single Default. I think for those who aren't tech savvy, there should be instructions... but if you know what to look for, it seems like a great app.

Great app with polished and easily customizable interface that expands the options of your phone upon connecting but also disconnecting your headphones. Also, there should be noted that the developer is very friendly and responds rapidly to address any requests.

Does not control volume on my HTC one M8 even after an in app purchase. Also, it would be better if the selected default app starts playing rather than us hitting play would make it even better!

All it did is put my radio app on the home screen it did not open the radio up when I inserted the headphones I thought downloading this would make the radio come on when I inserted the headphones but it didn't unistall

why not disclose BUG FIXES??? post a LINK to the updated CHANGELOG. an ongoing nuisance that google Android & Samsung are so STUPID about headphones and granting granular user control over headphone roles/functions...

I've took a chance to finally update again. Everything works great except that stupid loud volume warning pop-up. It must be a LG phone problem being nobody else has experience this situation. I do like the volume slider adjusting in the settings. All settings stay retained when I plug/unplug from the headphone jack. Kudos!!

When selecting which apps to work with it can't seem to find my music app. Running custom rom with its own default music app, Cyanogenmod v3.0 "com.cyanogenmod.eleven" Rom version Cyanogenmod V.13-20160910 Nightly - installed using TWRP 3.0.2-0 Let me know if you need more info to resolve. Update: solution was successful, once selecting system apps Triangle at the top it appeared and works... Thanks for the help :)

Just choose your headphone-relevant apps and as soon as you plug in your wired headset or earphone, the list pops up. Lighting fast. Even works when the phone is locked - just unlock to get the menu.

The basic function -- launch an app when headphones are plugged in -- works like a charm. I use it to save me a step launching Google Play Music. But the extra function -- what to do when headphones are unplugged -- also lets you launch apps, but doesn't let you close an app. Maybe apps can't get permission to close other apps; still, if I could, I'd have it close Google Play Music when I unplug my headphones. But for what it's intended to do, it's 100% perfect.

If your headsets arent working with your phone then its clearly not working no app can change that. Your best bet is to buy bluetooth headsets.
