I liked this program very much and with the new update to continue adding pdfs it said I needed to upgrade to premium but every time I click to upgrade the whole program stops. I use this program for taking notes in class and it has been great, but now I cannot add any more files so it is of no use to me. Very disappointed.

T70%
by T####:

Hate the way comments are added to highlights. I want to be able to say why it was highlighted and to be able to edit it. I need to be able to add anonymous comments (important for some of my work). Crashes sometimes. Adding highlights is a little easier than before. Much preferred i-Anotate to this, in almost every way. This programme has become unusable for me.

When I first evaluated this product last September '15, the application was a bit too unstable when running on my Samsung tablet, with Jelly Bean version (4.2.2) of android. However, with version 2.0, I'm left with more questions than answers. Custom stamps no longer appear to be part of the application, which was what attracted me to the product. The new interface isn't intuitive, as I struggle can navigate within the app to access my files. Whether they fixed the stability issue, the developers appear to have taken a step backwards in regards to ease-of-use. What's more I'm uncertain as to what is the new pricing structure. While I'm happy to pay to productivity software, given the way android applications are updated, I fear this product would present too many surprises to invest in a long-term strategy. I find this unfortunate.

I use this app to take notes with during class, or to pull up an article we are reading. It is very slow and it is always up to chance if it will work that day or not. Sometimes the app won't even open and told me it stopped working. Other times the pages actually never load. Or, I will be in the middle of writing and it will freeze and exit out of the app. I am not pleased at all.

S70%
by S####:

The program no longer seems to remember what page I left off studying. Now, whenever I switch between programs, or even just between two open documents, I am pushed back to page 1 every time. Annotating 2 docs at once, or even a single large doc has become impossible. This is the only annotation program I've ever found that i liked but its totally useless to me now.

And I should have this time! It's not as cool or good as it sounds. I really have to stop getting apps with a 3.5 rating or lower.

Paid for app when just came out. Now have to pay more for membership

I like the updates n zoom box I always wanted. Somethings missing...I don't know what it is. But this app is great right now.

S70%
by S####:

I think you should add a full screen mode, where the toolbars disappear until you tap the screen. Similarly, there should be a way to create an outline. I am currently dealing with a book without outlines and navigation is quite difficult. Also, swipe left to go to the annotations and outline.

App crashes every time when I add a text box in a large pdf document on my Lenovo Yoga tab 3.

I70%
by I####:

This app used to have a 'page by page' optoon. Now I can only scroll continuously upwards, instead of being able to read more like a book... The settings page used to allow you to set this, now only has the option of showing page numbrrs or not. (Edit) Please give it a comeback!

S70%
by S####:

It is obvious this is a work in progress. I have got a lot of complaints. I read mainly in pdf format. 1. The app is very slow. It took ages to open a 110mb pdf of 3000+ pages and a 142mb 4000+ pages pdf it got stuck in creating session animation. 2. The search within a document is also very slow and there is nothing indicating it is searching except the search animation (you can't see how many pages has been searched for example) 3. No file manager. Rather it is a crude method of importing files. And the problem with the importing is that the app creates another copy of the file in the SD occupying precious needed storage space. Before I knew it is has taken 300mb of my space. 4. Why is it compulsory to create an account. Please all we want is a very good reader+ annotator. The app has promise page flipping if document open is fast and it has tabs. Please keep working on it. Your will get there.

S70%

Worked well, but then exporting to Google Drive, downloading and opening with Adobe Reader revealed that the annotations don't show up (they do in Skim, though)...

S70%
by S####:

This app needs to incorporate the iAnnotate suite of options. Stamps are EXTREMELY useful!!! Other than that, it's workable. I'd recommend another app until the iAnnotate options are incorporated.

What I was looking for!

V70%
by V####:

So I downloaded this because I read that iAnnotate was great! Right from the beginning I try to sign up with Google (because its compulsory to have an account ) but when I hit "sign up" with Google it says "Account already exists, please sign in". When I tap on " Sign in with Google " it says "No account found, please sign up". For a "productivity" app, you get 1 star.

S70%
by S####:

Documents with columnar layouts are impossible to highlight in, because the app does not take into consideration the flow of the text

H70%
by H####:

Crashes. Cross column highlighting when only highlighting one. Compulsory account not wanted or needed. Gone from the most useful app in the world to useless.

S70%
by S####:

Force you to create accounts for annotate?

S70%
by S####:

First screen on startup is create account or sign in. I have no need for a sync service with my editing apps. I have a cloud provider that does that for me I just needed an app that does PDF markup. I loved iannotate on my iPad and repligo on my Android... Now both are gone. Guess I'm in the minority with apps that just perform their function locally and not require more cloud accounts.

Then I wasn't even able to open the smallest PDF

S70%
by S####:

Update: I got the new version. It still doesn't export & it crashes. I liked the old Android version. Definitely some memory issues - if I put my tablet down and it turned off my annotations would sometimes disappear, but I learned to save often. This new version for Android looks awfully pretty but it was the feature that allowed exporting of annotations in a list form that was the main reason I used this product! I deleted this new version. I would pay for this app if I were able to export again :-(

S70%

I'm an avid user of the iPad version of iannotate. The Android version has always lagged behind but at least it had tabs and was useable. I was in eager anticipation of this Folia update thinking it would driver done of the scintillating iPad functionality.. Wow..what a letdown! This is complete and utter rubbish! 'PDF max Free' has tabs and is light years ahead of this garbage.

I like this app. However, I need a one more feature. that is, once I tap a figure/equation/ table number, the app should popup the figure/equation/table on the same page without moving to the page where the figure / table/equation is placed. This would save the user moving back & forth in the document. Hope this feature would be in the next edition.

N70%
by N####:

For me the killer is that I use(d) this app to mark up scientific papers. For the program doesn't seem to recognize when text is split into two columns on the same page. This causes chaos when trying to hghlight or underline. I love the tools and ease of use of the tools for this app. However, as addressed before it constantly crashes. It tends to save your progress so it tends to be a minor inconvenience but still should be addressed. Could be great, but just doesn't live up to its potential.

S70%
by S####:

I really like the concept of placing tools on the left but it lacks basic editing tools . eg minimum thickness of rectangle is still too high, all they need to do is add tools and bug fixes and this is going to be a great app

S70%
by S####:

This was recommended to me by a friend who has it on an Apple device and has no problems. I tried to use it for my classes and took a ton of notes only to have it begin suddenly crashing every time I use it and my notes disappearing. I lost everything. I would love this app if it wouldn't crash and if I could make margins larger for room for more notes.

You can't go to page. You can't have it fullscreen without these stupid bands...

Y70%

The app frequently crashes, and the last such instance resulted in all the annotations I've made being set to invisible. They're there, but don't show up unless tapped (where's Waldo anyone?). Worse yet, even after they are found they go invisible again every time the app tried to save. Don't use this app unless you want your hard work to be for nothing.

This app is great on IOS but current version on Android is disapointing. I hope Branchfire fills in the current gap and brings Android version up to the IOS level.

When opening a myfile.pdf from a folder it creates a copy myfile annoted.pdf. When opening another time, you will end up with myfile annotated annotated.pdf, another time myfile annotated annotated annotated.pdf. On the next day you open it again and you have myfile annotated annotated annotated annotated.pdf. Then in the train you look at it again and you have myfile annotated annotated annotated annotated annotated.pdf. Then .... after some time, you have a file called myfile annotated annotated annotate
