Dedicated Workflow – Storyboard Studio is strictly designed for storyboarding. This gives you all the tools you need to help you create scenes fast and efficiently.
Artistic Tools – Storyboard Studio offers eight realistic brushes, including a felt marker, a ballpoint pen, a pencil, a paint brush, a highlighter, a charcoal pencil, an air brush, and an eraser. These brushes are easy to use and ready to go. No need to mess around with settings. These brushes will suit any artist’s needs.
Layer Support – This allows you to create multiple layered scenes and keep the foreground and background elements separate. There is no restriction on how many layers you can have.
Cutouts – Storyboard Studio offers a variety of different posed people (actors) and directional arrows which you can place in your scene. This lets you bring your scenes to life quicker and easier. These cutout images are an excellent way for non-artists to capture the emotion and action of a scene without having to draw it out.
Image Importing – Along with cutouts, you can also add your own images from your gallery, your camera, or from the web (powered by Google Image Search and Inspire Stream).
Notes – You can attach text notes to each scene. These will be saved to your project and can be exported when you save your storyboard as an image.
Multiple Forms of Exporting – Whether you want to create a storyboard, a scene list, a horizontal strip, a vertical strip, or export all your scenes to Photoshop. Storyboard Studio gives you multiple options, allowing you to customize how you want your storyboard to look when you export your scenes as an image. These formats include JPEG, PNG, and PSD.
Slideshow – This mode lets you navigate through your scenes like a slideshow and is an excellent way to get a feeling of how the story plays out. It is also an excellent way to show your story to a colleague or friend.

This is a great app except for the glitchiness. It has a lot of great tools and the brushes are realistic and easy to work with, but recently lines have been appearing and disappearing at random, and some of what I draw disappears... I hope this gets fixed soon, I'm disappointed :(

Tried moving images and what this program does it moves the wrong ones. Tried deleting one image and it deleted a random one I now need to redraw. Not worth the money, a free program contains less bugs and frustration.

Creating a storyboard on the go has never been easier. This is a fun and easy to use app although it does have some issues. I cannot create more than six scenes without it crashing along with not being able to export any of my storyboards.

Like the title says, its a great app. I struggled to make storyboards in other programs, but here, I found it to be a breeze. My stories have come a tremendous way with its help. Many kudos go to Mr. Brake field for doing a wonderful job. If he could combine it with his other app, Infinite Painter... Maybe in a future update. But if not it still can rightfully stand on its own.

This is the most frustrating app I've ever bought. A complete waste of money. Nothing in the app works. Every minute or so the whole thing freezes and then crashes. Give me my money back, please!

except for one thing. Whenever I try to go from slide 1 to 27 it just pops up with a random slide in the timeline. Even if I jump to slide 3 it will possibly bring up slide 14. Maybe fix it in next patch? However, it is a user friendly app and I would highly recommend it to even the ost basic user. I am mainly using to plan a final project for my Video productions class and it is working perfectly. I really have no cons however besides that one thing

Truly great idea, but as others say, bugged. Undo doesn't always work and export crashes out. Last update was 2013, so this app is going nowhere and won't ever reach potential.

I have spent a significant amount of time storyboarding a project on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 with this app. I really enjoyed it until I could not export the files. Resulting in this app being totally useless and infact a waist of time.

There were some bugs in the original version but with the new update everything has been very smooth for me! The developer is awesome at solving issues and he answered all my questions when I emailed him. I'm loving this app!!!!!!

It's wasting my time, spend ages making a scene then it crashes. Apart from that it's wonderful, but how it is its currently unusable on Samsung galaxy and probably others too. Update it and fix it please

I'm loving this. So much potential here for pro artists. It's lite on the regular gimmicky crap usually included in drawing apps - and rich in good strong user based capabilities. This is a pro tool, not a cheap smartphone game. Easy use, planned updates, clean, quick and powerful.

When I add a layer to a previously merged layer, the original merged layer disapears (deleted). I hope that this problem will be addressed as soon as possible...

can you add characters in normal positions who look not like spiderman...there are not just actionmovies to be storyboarded. else it is not worth the money. PLUS importing images forces app to close....useless at the moment

I bought this thinking that it would work quite well for what I needed. Unfortunately it locks up, there are very few actor to choose from, and I can't use the eraser at all. All in all pretty useless. I would like my money back. Running it on galaxy note 10.1

Would absolutely love this app, if not for the slowness, force closes, and gallery (when adding pictures) not showing right. The developer, is very awesome at fixing issues though, so I will keep on using it. Would love to see a selection type tool and smudge in future updates. Thanks for the awesome apps!

Knowing how much time it takes to code an app like this, and the modest return on the work, I'm impressed. Used alongside Sketchbook Pro on the Note 10.1, this app works well. Yes, it has some quirks and a few features I'd like to see, but for a few quid, it's pretty good. A save button would be useful. In all, if you're in the storyboarding business, this is worth a punt.

I was looking for a program so I could take pictures on tech scouts for TV shows I work on, and generate storyboards to work from. This program has a great interface, and in theory should work well for the purpose, but is very buggy, with different bugs appearing on different platforms. The primary bug being that I can't save or export my work on any of my devices: a Samsung Note 8", a OnePlus One, or a T-mobile LG F6 phone. And if you can't export your work in a meaningful way besides doing screen captures, it's extremely frustrating.. Other flaws include image importing for backgrounds. This works fine on my Samsung, but not on my phones. On the phones the photo layers are transparent unless I rasterize them, and then I lose the ability to scale or repo them. On the plus side, the program has a better library of figures than competing product Storyboard Quick. In short, this is a decent beta build of an app I would like to have. I would gladly pay 5-10 times the price asked if this was implemented with less bugs and the export function worked, and I could count on being able to use this as a professorial tool on my TV productions. But as is, I cannot recommend it.

Some glitches spoil the experience of what could be a truly great app. It still needs some work and more functions but it has a huge potential. I had one FC and using pictures doesn't work well on my handset (Note 2/stock Android), they make the app sluggish. I'm looking forward to the next updates.
