About Weather Plus Free
Weather Plus pulls weather information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service (NWS) directly to your mobile device. Weather Plus monitors the weather where you are and allows you to add and monitor weather in an unlimited number of locations.
Weather Plus features rich, detailed forecast information and current observations, but doesn't stop there like most apps. Weather Plus integrates the images from 155 National Weather Service Doppler radar sites with Google Maps giving you a powerful view of the weather in the palm of your hand.
Choose from one of six themes to customize the look of Weather Plus to your personal preference. You can share your forecasts with friends and family by simply tapping the Share button on the action bar or menu.

This is not what what I would call a fancy weather app, but it can give you temperatures from the closest airport or official weather station nearest your hometown and seems to be able to find the closest as you travel into other cities as well. The radar is a bit pale but serves the purpose. The app can be adjusted as to how often it updates which can save you data. I do not know how it is in emergencies. It's an easy app to use.

I monitored weather between 4 apps for accuracy for a month. This one & Weather Ch. app ran neck in neck for accuracy. I really loved the look of this one better. I only gave it a 4 because when I click on the widget for additional details, it does not open the app. Fix this and I would pay the 99 cents. I would actually pay more. Discovered another problem. I put the 3x1 widget on my screen and it keeps disappearing. Now it's 3 stars. Update: have a s5 now (had an s4) and the widget still disappears.

I got this looking for an alternative to those big name weather apps. I really like this app. It let's me do all the same things as the others, but I think this one is easier to use. Love the widgets for my screen too! Wow! I just got the latest update and really like the changes. Keep up the good work!

Black or white theme, not fancy but gives you temperatures from airport nearest to your location. Lately, temperature forecast for various hours throughout the day is unavailable. The radar is a bit pale but serves the purpose. The app can be adjusted as to how often it updates which can save you data. This app is not useful in severe weather situations.
