I found this app in a fit of desperation after another 3d party app deleted the contacts app and all of its Google contacts data from an HTC One (m7) when supposedly syncing its data with an iPhone 5s. This app recovered the data and presents it in its own, and the original, formats. It's easy to use, intuitive, and - most important - accurate. Nothing changed. Nothing lost. Now if only it included the # of contacts...
