- Network communication: Required for Internet access.
- Storage: Required to read/write files.

- Prevent device from sleeping: Required for the picture slideshow.

I submitted the problem to the boxcryptor website's Q and A, but as of now Boxcryptor Classic linked with Dropbox fails to open any of my encrypted files. This "permission denial" error has appeared only since I updated to the newest versions of boxcryptor classic and dropbox. EDIT: I just figured out that this bug only occurs when opening encrypted text files with the dropbox text editor.

The android app is terrible, but so is boxcryptor 2. So I'm sticking with this for a consistent experience with my windows devices. It's a shame they stopped supporting it, but at least they didn't kill it or remove it completely.

I'm sorry they'll no longer be updating the classic anymore though. I bought the unlimited Classic version. I do NOT like the other yearly subscription version/idea as it's too expensive IMHO. I dread the day it won't work anymore.

I've been looking for an alternative to the Windows application Bestcrypt that also works with android. I'm glad I found this. Works very well. No ads on the free version, thank you! Will consider buying the unlimited version soon whenever I will need more than one source location for encryption. Definitely a must have for cloud storage users who have valid concerns about security.
