About BotBrew Basil EXPERIMENTAL

This is an EXPERIMENTAL build of BotBrew that uses Dpkg and Apt instead of Opkg. It's a pretty rough work-in-progress and definitely has bugs, but it represents the future of BotBrew. So please be gentle :) and mind the bleeding edge!

ROOT privileges are required, as usual.
Only ARM is supported at the moment, but we'd like to support x86 and MIPS in the future if possible.

Usage details may be found on the xda-developers forum -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26261600&postcount=119

Before deleting the BotBrew bootstrap directory, open the control/preferences window and hit *exit* to make sure everything has been unmounted properly.

After installing, I get the error that it can't run /data/data/com.botbrewbasil/cache/setup.sh it's a permission problem, but chmod doesn't allow me to add the executable bit. Putting it on 777 with mixplorer and setting the owner to root did also not help. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Okay, I understand experimental. But what did this thing do, start trying to play with mounts?!! After installing this thing, it showed nothing available, so I assumed it was broken and forgot. Later, my wallpaper was gone (custom wallpaper slideshow app), "unfortunately,..." errors left and right, and trying to uninstall BotBrew just crashed Package Installer. Also needs a better description... I was linked directly to this experimental build and didn't know "experimental" meant "look below for stable"!

This originally wouldn't install on my rooted S4 i9505. After installing Cyanogenmod it finally "worked" but unfortunately, as I was in the middle of the process of installing debian I got stuck on a Y/N command since the shell wouldn't detect my keyboard. I eventually had to force quit and reboot my phone but that's where it began getting even more buggy. After uninstalling, deleting the bootstrap directory and reinstalling I decided to try again. Long story short, everything (meaning literally everything) crashed and my phone got bricked in the process. It's an exciting project but obviously still extremely buggy. I'll try reinstalling this later today as soon as I unbrick my S4 and get everything working again. I look forward seeing further developments.
