myDriveAssist for Android
…in different countries
Thanks to the country-specific speed limit detection myDriveAssist can offer you an optimal support in different countries. Choose among several supported countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom and others. The App will automatically be fit to the country-specific speed limit signs to guarantee an optimal detection.
Life-saving wrong-way driver warning
myDriveAssist has an independent wrong-way driver detection and warning system. Users are alerted if there is a wrong-way driver less than 10 km away. If you become a wrong-way driver yourself, the system detects this within a few seconds and helps you resolve the dangerous situation safely by providing appropriate warnings and information about recommended action.
Everyone benefits from using the cloud
Send detected speed limits automatically on a daily basis to the myDriveAssist-Cloud and benefit from latest speed limits of the other drivers. In that way, the speed warnings become more reliable day by day.
Celebrate your achievements…
Earn up to 20 different awards for collecting traffic signs! Collect a specific number of signs, drive as safely as possible or identify traffic signs in a specific sequence. Think you're good enough to get them all?
Find your car again
myDriveAssist automatically saves your location every time you exit the app. This means that you can find your car again at the touch of a button and navigate back to your parking space.
Further information:
- Permanent usage of GPS signal in background can deteriorate the performance of your smartphone battery.
- Mobile data connection is required.
- A smartphone car holder, which allows the camera a free view of the street, is necessary.
Information for the correct installation of your smartphone in the wind screen of your car:
- Set up your smartphone car holder in the middle lower part of your wind screen.
- Preferably use your smartphone horizontally in landscape mode.
- Twist the holder so the opening for the camera is situated at the bottom left.
- Tilt your smartphone in the car holder so that it is in an upright position
Please note:
- The quality of the detection may vary depending on the used device.
- At night or against the light the detection is limited by the smartphone-camera.
- The app is only meant as a support while driving and does not discharge the driver of his duty to pay attention to the traffic flow.
- Traffic sign recognition may have to be deactivated with certain hardware in rare cases if the device does not support the required image preview resolution. In this case, the app switches to ""passive"" mode and only displays the signs from the Cloud.
It's a great idea that is nicely implemented by this app. I think that the perfect combination is to use it in Widget mode, on top of Google Maps. Using it in Widget mode really adds a lot of value to any navigation app. Congrats!

The app says my Nexus 6p does not meet the required screen resolution
Seems like a great idea, but poorly executed. After following instructions for phone mount etc, it regularly missed speed signs or sometimes missed them. Sometimes telling me that the 30 zone should be a 90 limit etc.
Saying Nexus 6 does not meet the requirements on screen resolution!
Works pretty good and helps a lot. Thanks

I really love the idea of detecting the actual Road signs as most sat navs have inaccurate speeds. I've only marked it down due to how hungry the app is on the battery, when in widget mode using Google maps I have to discontinue using the app as charger unable to keep up. Using Sony Xperia z3
