Bosch Mobile Scan for Android
Total waste of money. Don't buy the stupid dongle. This app's UI is clunky and confusing and there's no reason it should be. Reads codes sometimes. No longer self identifies any vehicle I connect it to. Always have to manually input vehicle data. Not upgradable. This is no better than the cheapest bargain basement OBD code reader on the market. Save your money for something better. It shouldn't be so frustrating to use an app like this. Big fail for Bosch.
UPDATE: Email address for developer is not working (received bounce-back email.) Bought CodeConnect for a model, shows up in purchases; but, CodeConnect tab is greyed out on error screen. Do NOT buy the add ons- they don't work. Additionally, the UI is complicated and unintuitive. Bosch hasn't bothered to update in some time, so this feels pretty much abandoned.
I have a bosch tool set and it's great. So I decided to buy this. It works great but when it scans my 2000 chevy blazer then a 2000 honda civic shows up. It still seems to scan everything properly. Just a weird glitch. I'd like to see more updates for it but it works great.
Manager at local auto parts store lied to me said abs was included and that I couldn't return the product... And I try to email Bosch at their support email and it's almost like they are just gone... The mobile scan isn't worth your time and I won't recommend another Bosch product due to the poor marketing by distributors and the lack of presence by Bosch. Bosch I'm hoping you can make this right because for 100$ I could have grabbed a unit that has abs included I only bought this model for convenience and it's has been anything but
Clunky at best, the real time data function is so well hidden you need a computer software engineer to find it. I use this app only because I have already bought the device, otherwise I do not recommend it for real-time data though just reading codes is easy enough.
Minor bugs with the app, but workable. The real issue is that when you purchase abs/airbag or whatever in app purchase is available, you are not buying it for the Bosch device. Bosch says that you are buying it for the phone. For example, If I have both Android and IOS devices, I have to make the purchase for both. This is not revealed anywhere in the purchase as one would assume since the Bosch device is serialized that you are making the purchase for. This would not be a shock to me if it had been spelled out in making my purchase! Now Bosch says that I have to make the purchase through IOS as well.
Honestly, I'd like to get my money back. I bought the Bosch scan tool from the auto parts store expecting to get my money's worth... I paid about $100. I get the app, then find out to use other features I have to spend more money. I mean, come on, if I'm going to spend so much money I don't expect to have to pay to get other premium content. Save your money, don't buy the Bosch scan tool. It's no better than the cheapo off-brand tools that you can get from the internets.
ive used this app for a while now. it works well 90% of the time .thats pretty good for a cheap reader. alot of reviews on here could be solved with information. if the DLC on your car doesn't have signal from the car to the number 16,4, and 5 pins then even my $10k scanner cant connect. ive had a problem lately where this tool wont erase codes. also it doesn't want to access anything other than global on most vehicles. although some vehicles will enable several modules. i see in the ad pics that this tool is capable of using a misfire monitor that would be handy in live data but mine has never offered it. i would also like to have access to more data pids but what can ypu expect for $80. also the store had me convinced i was getting a tool that read abs for no extra charge.
I paid a hundred dollars to see my horsepower and torque. It doesn't read anything except what my regular scanner does. Waste of money
Online the reader said it would work for my vehicle. In the app or said it was not supported. 05 Buick Terraza. Do not waste your time with this product. Their 99 dollar non bluwtooth reader worked just fine
Works fine, not bad for the price. Im a manager for oreilly. I use this at work on a regular basis. I also worked as a mechanic for several years and this little device definitely keeps me from having to use my snap on scanner for basic trouble shooting.
When I try to "connect" so that I can reset an engine code the app crashes. I tried to return it to Oreilly Auto Parts and they would not refund my money. I am seriously mad.
Doesn't tell me why my check engine light is on. Does tell me that my car will not pass inspection. Umm... Thanks...
Works good and had purchased everything in the store for multiple vehicles and when I had to do a factory reset on my phone it took all my purchases away and wants me to spend more money to rebuy my purchases. Will never use this reader again
Does it support a 2005 toyota Prius? Its telling me its not compatible.
You suck and whoever designed this software should be shot in the face at close range
Keeps saying need to update 20 times and no back button feature
Updated to android OS nougat, now app crashes when using code connect
It seems very strange to me that there would be nothing in here whatsoever about engine voltage
Well I paid 100$ for it to basically tell me my 2001 Volvo v70 not compatible...
Great tool . But now I can't access the code connect feature . Every time I try the app closes itself
Would have been nice to find out my truck was not supposed before shelling out hard earned cash for the reader
This app along with the dongle works great! Best money I've spent!
It's okay. Works as promised. Would be nice to have ability to save data to local text file or something. Data stream limited.
Not compatible with BMW, good way to sell your Bluetooth though, asswipes.
No Subaru
Can no longer use the discover modules function therefore I can no longer scan the engine module on my car was able to before this update. This really blows... please fix this bosch
The app is OK. if you are in a pinch a need a comprehensive diagnostic it does a good job. The Bosch OBD1050 sold at O'Rellys is NOT ELM compatible. In other words apps like gage pro, forscan, and torque will NOT work with it. Specifically if you are Ford Powerstroke owner it does not include any feature like injector buzz. I give it a medium rating because it is readily available same day. Its costly compared to ELM devices. If Bosch made it ELM compatible I would give it 5 stars. EDIT GSB 4/29/16. Bosch would you please consider adding injector buzz and cylinder contribution tests for diesel owners? Specifically Ford 7.3 and 6.0
The UI could be more user friendly. The only way I can get to erase codes is exiting the app after the scan. Maybe adding submenus in each category or in the main menu would be helpful. Excited to see what future updates will bring.
Will never waste my time on a Bosch product again. Says very clearly right above my review in the product description that it reads manufacturer specific codes for Audi vehicles. After calling customer support to find out why I can't pull codes from my 06 Audi a4 customer service says Audi is not covered by their product?! Then why does it say so in the description. Not to mention Bosch makes all the computer internals for Audi and you can't even pull codes from your own products? Really! Waste of time
Does what I need. Reads and deletes codes. Shows live data of all sensors and can graph all sensors.
We are in the middle of 2016. Maybe make all of the needed options available? Compatible. What did I waste my 100$ for? Auto ID DOES NOT WORK. I need this tool for every day use. Please fix this problem and incompatibility issue for this truck.
Bought it today at O'reilly's. Not satisfied at all. The Bosch Mobile APP does NOT feature the live data/Graphing function for android devices. This feature should not be on the packaging on in the app description. I will be returning this device tomorrow and buying a obd2 bluetooth device that actually displays live data/graphing.
I have a Volkswagen what uses a lot of Bosch parts I figured this would be a good match. It is not this is a terrible product its application based it should be more well supported then it is I'm not able to use this product to read the code that I need to read.
I got this to use on jobes were i go to them i work at a parts store and get a lot of side work offerd to me this makes in easy to pull the coeds and it shows what it is and makes it easy to find out what it is the first time
Simple to use but could be a great deal better. Lacks the ease of use that should be standard of a app like this.
pretty good product, lets me monitor my truck well. If only I could get it on my windows tablet now
Easydiag of the Launch able to do much more then this fake Bosch diagnostic tool.
Didn't check to see if my jaguar was supported nobody at the part store asked just a waste of money.

I wish it could access fuel economy data :/ then it'd be extremely cool. Another complaint, sometimes it'll force me to add the same vehicle. Which makes me lose the free first vehicle access. Also, a LOT of cars, even a new car I have, I can't access the air bag or SRS module because apparently it's not supported or whatever?! And I've tried it on SO many ranges of vehicles but still get the same message.
