PLR measure&go

Tried to port existing floor plans in PNG format as a canvas for my plans in the app. The quality is ridiculously bad, totally unusable. Will stick to plain pencil on paper plans and use my PLR 50C as a simple measurement tool. What a waste of money!

New update at last. Err what have you done. Looks the same. Nothing has changed. You would be better giving the tech details to third party developers to implement in to their apps. I wouldn't buy the device until the app is improved.

ONLY METRIC SERIOUSLY??!! Unless I missed something obvious this is a Massive fail. Half the world use Imperial. I need and want to use both, how hard would it be to have considered this?

Some recent update killed the peak window on Moto G 3, now I don't see the end of lines I'm drawing. Kindly fix the issue, the app is unusable this way.

PDF creation does not work. Have emailed you details. Otherwise seems to cover the basics.

Really not intuitive at all, all I want to do is produce a floor plan with measurements on each side and I can't work out how to do it. I know the area to two decimal places but that's really no use for buying a carpet... Some simple instructions would really help.... Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I found the video on the Bosch page promoting the app. Two minutes and not a single pice of info about how to use the app...

Nice easy app. Not complicated but needs a bit more functionality. Bug report. Guys! I had to copy photoes with measurements to new phone and the pictures show correctly in preview but when i open the picture it is made smaller and dimensions stay. It is instantly a mess and stays so. Zooming out of picture boundaries would be welcome but this does it without adjusting the measurements.

Its fine. A downpoint is that it only uses images as background. It would be better if PDF files can be used as background. Because of that, I have to do screenshots of PDFs and use them as background, but the image quality is quite poor. In terms of representation of dimensions, it would be much better if in addition to "single dimensions" we could have "continuous" dimensions and "to origin" The whole point of having a laser distance meter , is that you can do a series of "to origin" measurements easily , and not only single measurements.

I would like to have Bosch Measurement Camera like functionality with this app. At least I would like to have jpg export, multi-selection export and line width selection. Exported pdf files are convenient but quality is very low. For some reason look as very much compressed. This app needs udpating to equal the PLR 40C or PLR 50C capabilities (and price).

Must be more user friendly, inuitive. Also, when taging some measurements, there is no any kind of scale, ratio. 25 square meters is drawn on graph paper same as 3 square meters. If you fix this with ratio or scale then this app will be very usefull.

I paid the extra to get a device that would transfer data electronically that I could use in other applications (CAD) and manipulate the data as necessary - adding additional information for example. Sadly this is a waste of time and money. A sketch on paper is far quicker along with writing down the measurements as you go. 20 to 30 measurements on paper is easy - on this app it would take forever. The device also doesn't store any data when switched off and only holds 4 lines of measurements on the screen. As the device (PLR40C) seems locked to this app only I would not recommend it. The Bluetooth feature is wasted. On the plus side its functionality to measure is good although It should have come with the target plate as standard. I had difficulty measuring at close range (45mm) so need to carry a ruler as back up ! Supercheap Auto do a device at less than half the price of this - I thought I was buying Quality from Robert Bosch. My mistake.

I use PLR on a tablet and it works like a dream. Import a plan / drawing, or take a snapshot with your camera - draw a line, measure ... poof! next, next, next .. love it.

Lost all pictures and measurements. Avoid!!!

Just wanted to say that my 'fantastic ' PLR 30 broke within 1 week and the store would not give my money back. Don't bother with this toy or this app. Just bought a fantastic PLR 30 C and have downloaded the PLR measure & go app which works perfectly. Is there any way to increase the decimal to 3 places so that the dimensions show with full millimetres values? At the moment they are rounded up to 10mm e.g. 1.67M and not 1.673M, even non-profesional diy-ers use millimetres! It would definitely be 5 stars if the app was updated to show this. Many thanks,

I am a designer / draftsperson. For me this app does everything I need and expect it to do. There is room for improvement but otherwise I am extremely happy. I am using my tablet which I imagine makes life easier than using a smaller device / phone. Would like to see an option to take a photo and start annotating / measuring without all the prompts at the beginning (new plan > camera or gallery > name the file > etc). I dont need to name my files to begin with and will almost always take a photo with my camera rather than any of the other options. This could be reduced to one click rather than multi choice selection process. I found the camera to be a little off but this could be a device. Hope Bosch keeps improving this already good app.

Export only as pdf. Non editable. If you change device or would like to merge projects you stuck ... With this app you only get absolute minimum functionality the marketing department demanded. A real user will reach the limits real soon. Sad.

Works a treat with phone sony Z2 & tablet lg gpad. Should be able to export to some open src format to sync (at minimum) between device; while at it, to desktops. I vote for plr50c to be remote controlled by this app, in the future, if it has bt rxr. One star missing until a good solution for sync. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Good app once you understans to use the connection option within the app. DO NOT USE THE NATIVE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION METHOD. Anyway it's a nice app. Look forward to using it some more.

Only option for this is to charge more for the Bluetooth device which BTW ONLY works with this app. No export on the app, not even possible to use it on my laptop... only my tablet or phone. No floorplan, cant evem draw a room that is L shaped. Waste of extra 50 euros for a useless option. Hope you develop this APP seriously and QUICKLY before you get flooded with bad reviews.

Can't draw floor plan.. Ignorance of wall sizes. No snapping.. It's a shame to have so limited app. Please outsource it to Ukraine. I know people who may create you the best app on the market for really small money..

I think this app is created with the only purpose of charging more for bluetooth option on PLR series. It's not serious - where is the zoom?! That option alone is essential for this kind of apps. Not able to scroll or hide menus, and export only as PDF (raster image). Having in mind the potential in this technology and how basic is the app, sorry but it's just a shame. I hope you continue to develop it, because the idea behind it is great after all.

The app would be useful if it had a floor plan function, currently will need to take photo of sketch to measure a room correctly. A dwg export function would also make this more useful.

I don't see the point of it. I use measuring devices to draw floor plans. Generally this takes the form of drawing a sketch on paper and writing measurements onto it, which are later imported into software (e.g. metropix or similar). This does not seem to have any form of electronic drawing feature and is far too basic to deal with room details like doors and windows.

Great for creating a quick design but needs extra features like adding windows and doors. Otherwise this is a great help when taking measurements.

On my htc desire 610 the device connects fine, but the app crashes when I try to take a picture of the room I will measure...love the pdf export feature! Pls fix this bug for htc. I bought the device to use with this app :)

Perfect! Very usefull app, strongly recommended. I threw away all old measuring devices. Now use only bosch plr50c

I open the app and a display screen loads and as soon as I press anything the app crashes. Huawei mediapad x2

Can't remotely control the PLR by smartphone.
