FlashPoint Free

FlashPoint is a kid-safe app for practicing basic math facts. It features large, easy to tap buttons, fun sound effects and a choice of background images. It is simply the fastest way to build speed and accuracy for the four basic math operations.

The FREE version only allows you to practice up to your “two's tables.” It is just to see if FlashPoint works on your phone. There are no advertising or privacy fears when your children use this app – it can't even connect to the internet. The small price you pay for the FULL version will let you practice with all the fact families from 0 to 12.

The first time you start, you will be given a one-minute time limit to answer as many addition facts as fast as you can. When the minute is up, you see your results. Many schools use “mad minute” worksheets or similar timed tests to evaluate math proficiency.

The options let you focus on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or mix-and-match in any combination. The pre-set goal of 20 correct answers in a minute is a good starting point, but you can set any goal appropriate for the age or grade level of your student.

Unlike many apps in this category, FlashPoint is NOT multiple choice, will NEVER show advertising nor collect personal information, and does NOT have any complicated screens to figure out.
