Halifax Waste Collection

App doesn't alert me until after my collection date, when manually checking to see if it is garbage or recycling week it always says it is both. App is useless just taking up space uninstalling and seriously recommend not downloading.

I want to like this app but it's constantly inaccurate. Since I installed it a month ago it has been correct only once. On top of that the notifications are often late (notifying me on garbage day as opposed to the night before) or just completely absent. Needs a major update to fix the issues.

Has been great the past 2 year's, now everytime I try to open the app i get an error to the effect of 'Halifax waste has stopped working' & won't open. The errors pop up randomly thru the day as well. Hoping for a fix .

Worked great, but now it crashes on every attempt to open. This app was developed as part of a contest, so I'm guessing the developer moved on to other things.

Loved it until about 2 months ago when it will just stop working. Constantly giving me errors.

NOT THE OFFICIAL HALIFAX RECYCLES APP!

There is no manual location entry option, so it is no good for many tablets and my location is detected wrong with the GPS.

Only downside for me is it apparently can't access my location.

No manual location option and a government app I expect it to be ad free.

Since a bug was fixed, it's working perfectly and is better than the Municipality's website reminder! Thanks, guys!

Many changes were made to the HRM waste program in August 2015. The guides here are no longer correct. For example, box board now belongs with paper.

OK... but somewhat pointless if it doesn't correctly remind you of alternative pickup days when regular pickup is on a holiday

Can you add the alternative pick ups when regular collection falls on a holiday??

Requires gps access and can't enter a town to find the garbage schedule,

Better and easier than programming my calendar. It is also a great reminder facility for that paper copy they sent everyone.

In the summer its weekly green bin and the app does not tell you that. Also wont remind you unless the app is running to take out the garbage.

Its ok but when does it update? It has the schedule wrong right now. And it would be nice if the notification could be set. It guess off too late if at all.

I don't install alot of apps so when my battery usage shot through the roof after installing this one, i knew exactly which app was the cause. After i removed it my battery usage returned to normal. Otherwise it worked well and did what it says it would. On my nexus 4 it just seemed to suck the battery life out of it. Can't recommend it, sorry.
