Gluten Free Ingredient Search for Android
Feature Include is a handy search function to make it easier to match ingredients using partial matches.
The user interface uses a simple green thumbs up or red thumbs down to indicate if the ingredient is gluten free or not.
Paid version is Ad Free.
PROS: - Simple to use. CONS: - Incomplete data with no way to add or update ingredients e.g., Secale cereals (rye), almond flour, pork etc. - Database not being maintained, so getting increasingly out-of-date. - Some ingredients e.g., Dextrin are identified as GF, whereas it may, or may not be. e.g., in europe, Dextrin can come from non-GF wheat source. - No voice search (text entry only) - Pro version only removes ads.
For some reason I am only getting the green list and I didn't get the red list.
Good database of single ingredients. Ads are annoying. Ads are always annoying, but it's free so gotta deal with it.
found to be accurate...very reliable...we use it all the time!
Sure it tells you all the Dos and donts BUT the font is way too small you can't even adjust it, and when you type in pork I would expect it to come up in the don't list but it didn't have anything in any list, that needs to be fixed
No "foods" but lots of ingredients - will be great while grocery shopping!
I've had a gluten intolerance since FDR...needless to say, the literature thus far was sub par. Then came this app. I now can go to restaurants of all nationalities, and "GF" what ingredients are in the food. (GF= gluten free version of google!), such as I "GF'd" salt and know I can sprinkle it on to my hearts desire. This is a must have for all gluten intolerant people, and people who can't eat gluten. 5 stars!
The print is so small you cannot read it and you cannot enlarge image either I have an S5
