NOOK Audiobooks

Worked pretty good at first but now, at the end of each audio file, I'm forced to push skip to next file, otherwise it will not play it. The fact that I pay quite a bit for these audio books and am forced to do that level me a little disgruntled, so that is my reason for only giving 3 stars. Hopefully this issue will be patched.

The least usable audio book app I have found. The listening function is adequate although there could be better navigation. But the library portion is cumbersome and has little if any organization capability. When I get a shopping alert, it opens to my (unorganized) cloud

Skips the end of each chapter! Have the Nook Reader and love it, so I did not think twice about buying an audio book from Nook Audio. Did not even read the reviews. Now, I see people have had this complaint before. WHICH MEANS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED BY NOW! I want my money back for the book I bought. This is a rip off!

I haven't had a problem with the app or function. I wish it did have a wish list category like the nook reading app. I like to keep what books I would like to purchase without having to make a list elsewhere while I mull over my to purchase. It needs a larger selection, but so far the selection is good, would just like more options.

Not sure what's going on, but this app is nothing but a bother. Here we go again, cut out again as I was typing this. (Dropped another star.) I've used this program in the past with no problems. But now! Not sure whats happened, but I regret having purchased any books. It's not my phone (Samsung Galaxy 6 for Sprint) This is the only app giving me trouble. Audible is kicking it's butt, often times in cost, and definitely in performance. Annoying at best. Really wish to remove DRM and transfer purchases.

It is far to simple and doesn't find the last place after turning off the app, and all the chapters are labeled 1, 2, 3, etc... also more expensive then other options. All of this is disappointing because I have been a long time B&N fan and use the nook so I was hopi g to keep books/audio books in the same place. Please put some money into this app!

I went to try to change my payment info and it keeps shutting down and giving me a fail message every time I click edit.

i hated to have to give the audio app such a low rating but the audio books cost to much. to bad the account is not linked to the books. id probably buy more

For some strange reason after downloading, I find that books will play for 5 seconds or so per track, then skip to the next one. It's very annoying and needs to be fixed!

Constantly just stops working. I have to quit the app and restart at least once an hour

You can't really multi task with this app. It will shut down while I'm in other apps all the time

I like that I can pay per book instead of having a subscription. It does a good job of playing back downloaded audio but I have had a lot of trouble downloading and streaming books.

I truly enjoy my nook, but would love to download and save the app and library on my SD storage. I usually do not have access to the cloud considering my travel schedule.

Bought an audiobook on the B&N site years ago, wanted to listen to it. It's not there. Can't even find it searching, and the search function is crap.

One book cost 20 bucks.

Hated it other nook was way way way better.

Signed up when they ran the promo for two free books - which worked great and I really enjoyed. Update: They had technical problems that seem to be fixed. Would like if they had a web app to listen at home as well.

The only thing I like about this app is that its not a monthly charge like other app. I really hate the way you have to browse. I like to search by price range, but its not seperate pages, you just keep scrolling down. If you decide to go back you have to scroll back up instead of simply hitting pg 4 or something. I keep seeing promos for discounted books, but of course you cant actually search for them. It would be cool of you could search by run time so you can search for long books or something.

Constant "NO CONNECTION" even though I have full 4G LTE and every other app works fine. Sooo can't shop... and when I could, def needs a lot more titles. You think being run by the largest book store that wouldn't be an issue.

The app works okay for me. It finds, purchases, and downloads fine, but I get frequent momentary pauses while playing an audiobook. Other than that the app is too light on features. I wish the app had a wishlist so that I could mark titles for later purchase. I also wish that I could view more details about titles in the store without triggering the purchase sequence and that I could view more details about titles in my library without triggering the playback sequence. I would like to be able to play an audiobook at 1.5x or 2x speed and I would like the ability to toggle between a view that shows time remaining in the chapter and time remaining in the entire book.

I use this to listen to books while I walk. But every track cuts itself off about a minute early and skips to the next track, leaving me to either not care about the story I just paid $30 to hear, or stop on my walk so I can go back to the last track and fast forward to where it cut off and hope it does not do that again, which it frequently does. I dL the latest updates, but they never seem to fix the issue; I've gotten in touch with B&N, but they try to blame all the book companies. FIX THIS, B&N!!!

Okay...I LOVE practically anything B&N, but this app...just didn't do it for me. I purchased an audiobook from the HP series and the quality of it was not very good. It's not a clear and crisp sound; instead it sounds muffled. I listened to the sample of other audiobooks and they seem to sound the same- unclear. Please, please, please fix this issue. Other than the sound, the app is easy to navigate and has a clean look.

I liked the app a lot initially. I'd rather pay by the book instead of a monthly fee. The first book I downloaded seemed ok. Not many problems other than having to resume playing because it randomly paused a few times.. Just downloaded the second book and have been unable to make it a few sentences without it skipping words and cutting off. If they would work the bugs out of this app, it'd be great! Until then, I'll stop using it and will try to find something else.

While I enjoy the convenience of this app and the ability to save a few dollars on the audio books I cannot recommend the app to anyone. After purchasing several books and being thrilled I encountered a book that simply wouldn't work. It continued to shut off after about thirty seconds on 2 different devices. I was disappointed to discover that the only way to resolve an issue is through email. I was further disappointed that it took over three weeks to"resolve" and even then it doesn't work. :-(

I did think this was a great app until i downloaded my first book. I paid like $20 for it. It was a book I'd read and owned bug wanted to hear. I bought it, downloaded it and played it. And it only went to 9 chapters. That's not where the book ends!!!! Eve said it's "unabridged." What a load of b.s. pay money for half of a book. Not worth the time. Wrote an email to support center, might upgrade review if they successfully correct this so that I didn't just buy a whole audiobook and only received half.

Audible gives you the option of membership discounts. Books I have seen so far are much less expensive. I will download a book and write more after I listen

The reader works it's just that the selection of books doesn't work for me.

I love audiobooks. This app is great except that the audiobooks will stop playing completely like I closed the app whenever I open another app.

It could be better. If we can follow along with the books we purchased. While the person reads we can follow along.

Tried several apps each have their own issues. I'm sticking with this one for no other reason than I like it.

They had connectivity issues early on but that's been resolved. I'm hoping for some advanced features later on, like a sleep timer and reading speed control, but this will do just fine for now. The free books are top titles and the prices are very fair. I love the first few daily finds! **UPDATE** They've done nothing to bring this app up to the standard of other audiobook apps, so I'm going back to Downpour. I get great prices and a full-featured app there.

Nook audio is overpriced. Audible is a much better value. They have a monthly fee, but you get a credit to purchase one book each month, and the fee is cheaper than the price of most nook books. Plus all other books are greatly discounted. Even more so if you purchase credits to buy books. If you listen to even one or two books a month nook audible just doesn't make sense.

All I purchased books (6 or more gone) and can only emailed to try and resolve! !!!! Soo they gone or good!!!!!!!

I pay for my books to Barnes and Nobles on Nook books any trying to make me pay for him again on the audio book I don't understand it

Having issues shopping, it keeps saying I don't have a connection

Nice selection of books. I'd love it if I could use my Google Play account to make purchases.
