BMW i Remote

App works when it's not crashing. But it crashes multiple times a day and has for 6 months. Quite annoying to see the message on my phone more often than all other messages combined (got it twice while typing this). I am always told like any other failing app to just uninstall and reinstall but it doesn't actually fix anything. In my (and apparently many others) opinion this app is a good idea but poorly maintained.

It keeps saying I have no BMWi cars on my account. They show up online and access worked previously. Just stopped working for the second time. Dealer had to resubmit subscriber agreement to fix the first time. Not sure what's wrong now

As describe, app work only when the car is in charge, else you get no updated status on the car. Very annoying and unhelpful. Also in Canada, you don't have the option to unlock the car via the app.

2 kids in their basement would have come up with better code... Password reset does not work. Can't remote unlock doors. No feedback if you leave all and return. Basic stuff not covered, not acceptable for a car maker.

This worked great for a few months. Now...nothing. I've contacted support and was told an update was coming this week to fix some "glitches". It's been a week since the app has communicated with my car. FIX YOUR APP!!

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Broken Message won't go away. I get a constant message on my phone to connect to the gear fit 2. Some research shows that when Samsung last year updated their code, the BMW app now constantly posts false messages and crashed. BMW hasn't updated this app in over a year. Very sad they don't support their customers

Does what it says on the box. The data is shared with BMW connected App. Useful. Use it for charge status and climate prepare, everyday. Wish it would let me open and close doors & windows.

It was working great but when they did a software update to my i3 REC the app is not updating now. Garbage.

I like everything so far about the app except that it keeps asking to connect to Gear in notifications... I don't have any Gear devices. -1 star for nagging irrelevant notifications that I can't disable from within the app.

It was working so good until the last update. Now, I get a message: waiting for connection gear app - which I dont have a gear app and leads to drain my battery. A good feedback, Dont change what is working... Please fix it

Worked great for a few months now it never shows any status correctly is frozen on a read out from over a month ago I've logged out and back in to account updated my car and nothing has worked. Remote functions still work but no status displays.

Garbage. No matter how many times I changed my password, it still told me that my password was wrong. Don't waste your time, the charging app does way more than this piece of trash.

Worked fine when I had an Apple device. Now I have an Android and it won't open or function at all.. VERY UPSET!

Garbage. Billion dollar company can't write a reliable app... Not good, but looks pretty.

I am receiving notifications frequently that BMW iremote is not responding. It interrupts other apps and I am going to have to uninstall as there has not been an update in a while, seems there is no support. Android version, running 6.0.1

Was told by the geniuses that this app was being discontinued and a new connected app would be available in April. As a new i3 owner, I have found the entire software experience in and out of car to be absolutely disappointing. BMW needs to take notice of these comments as well as what people are complaining about on Reddit and message boards about software and hardware issues.

FOREVER. I don't even have a smart watch. It won't stop trying to connect. Even if I force close the app. Crashes all day and if I force stop it, it just starts up again on its own. Also I wish it would alert me when the car is fully charged. Other EV car apps do that. It doesn't record my electric trips (keeps saying my max distance is 12 miles).

Basically it just stopped working out of the blue. I called BMW I support and they said I have to use BMW Connect from now on as they are "phasing" this out. So I stopped using this because it's useless and installed BMW Connect. Absolutely useless. So essentially I have a smart car that can give me information that I can't use, features I can't access. Yes I know, first world problems and not critical in everyday life. However, if you are going to put out an app, just do it correctly. Honestly, it's not that hard and if you can't even perform as well as Chevy's vehicle app, what's the point?

This App is great if you want to know if your doors are locked.. or what percentage your car is charged. But if you want to precondition your car as I was told it's best to do. It fails completely!! It says that remote precondition in is disabled for my car and to visit the website every singe time. Even after visiting the BMW site the app still fails to work.

Has some useful information, but really could be better. Such as: 1) where's the charging information? I'd like to know the kW and the amps. 2) Needs Android wear compatibility. A MUST. 3) Wish I had access to more driving statistics. Or at least be able to download the historical statistics. 4) I kind of the map feature worked a little better. Feels clunky. would almost be simpler to just use Google Maps providing I had a direct "share to my car". I think this feature exists from a desktop/laptop already.

To control climate or lock car this app requires connection to some bmw server and this connection is very slow and often not operational. Guess, bmw is too poor to support decent servers. Android periodically asks to uninstall this app - too many errors and mistakes in software

This was a 4 star program but then my phone updated to Android 6. Now this crashes constantly and I keep getting the notification "Waiting for connection to Gear app." I have never had the smart watch or VR.

Since Android released the latest update iRemote just crashes in the background (I don't have to use it at all), or before I can finish entering my username and password. Being able to lock my doors right now would be great, but the app doesn't work. My OS has asked me repeatedly to delete the app because it's slowing down my phone so much. FIX THIS!

Best feature is charge status, but notifications on that are intermittent at best. Remote lock is helpful but takes a looong time to connect. Remote start/ conditioning is okay, but clunky. Biggest irritation though - no option to synch.

The app keeps crashing on my notes 5. The features are useful, but I think they should incorporate more remote options to interact with your car from your phone.

Please fix this app for Android. It's so buggy and it made my phone asking me to uninstall the app because the app causes my phone to slow down. Also please make it works with Galaxy Gear S2.

Unusable because it crashes. I just hope the car is designed better.

This app is a great idea, but the execution sucks. If I close the app before the conditioning gives me a success message, I have no way to tell if it was successful. It fails half of the time. The real dealbreaker is the permanent notification that seems to be displaying since I connected my Galaxy Gear S2 to it. The notification says "waiting for connection to Gear app..." but there is no way for me to connect. No app in the Gear store. I may actually have to take the watch back because of this, because I can't have a notification on my phone that won't close... it would drive me crazy. If you're not going to support Tizen/Gear anymore, at least let the Android app know!

This app has lots of potential but ultimately fails to deliver. Used to be able to unlock vehicle remotely but has since been removed. Please bring that functionality back.

This feature doesn't seem to work on my galaxy s7. BMW assist is complete, i haven't received an email yet confirming my account. Cant use the app!!!

The app works okay, shows information about charging, and remote functions work. BUT! Notifications don't work and never tells me when the car is fully charged, sending addresses to the car takes too many steps. Determining range when going to a particular address isn't working. Needs improvement BMW!

User has to have a customer service agent enter any password change. Completely unacceptable for any one to ever have visibility of passwords. Final straw was today when the app crashed repeatedly, removed.

Does not work, keeps crashing, bmw fix this app! Unable as it is.

Terrible UI, has 10% the features my Tesla app has.

Gear S2 functionality Please!!!

Shows notification "Waiting for connection to Gear app..." all the time. Don't know what the Gear app is don't have it don't care.

No background update, data is untrustworthy, symbology is confusing, navigation is awkward
