My BMW Remote

Downloaded,the app,signed in and it worked great. Don't understand some of the reviewers on here? It does exactly what its supposed to do. Please note ! You need to create an account with BMW connector drive for your car first. This then activates your cars service's. Then you can use this app perfectly .

Read several negative reviews and I just don't get what everyone else is doing wrong. It's one of the most straight forward apps in the world which does exactly what it says it does, with no fuss no drama. Downloaded the new combined BMW connected app which combines the remote and connected apps into one for my Iphone. It's superb can't wait for the Android version!

No reason for bmw to have two apps doing so little each. Got this working (not sure why a review has said £290 its free), can remote the air con, flash lights, nothing that will revolutionise your life. Worked but not sure how often I'll use it

After taking a while to setup the necessary accounts, I could finally use the vehicle finder feature to see where my car is parked. The following day I parked in a different spot, but the app is now useless for reminding me where the car is parked: the app crashes every time during the communication with the server, which now happens as soon as I type my pin. I tried clearing the cache, the data, logging in again, reinstalling, nothing helps: querying vehicle finder always starts a recurring app crash.

Ok, so you download this, create an account, play around with it a little to test the features you paid for and after finding that everything works you leave it alone. Then, when you *need* it -like when you lost your key or simply want to pre-ventilate or locate your car- it will just crash on launch leaving you with useless remote services subscription, as a joke to all your audi-driving friends. Whose apps just kinda work by the way, flawlessly. I'm disappointed.

when trying to share locations from google maps to the remote app it never finds the location in the remote app - if its a business or dropped pin. the mapping of the app with the car didnt work either - it finds the car but when pressing "connect" it doesnt do anything. had to go to the website to map/add the car --> then it shows on the app. there is still quite some room for improvement guys - premium looks different to me!!! android 6.0.1 with galaxy s5

I appear not to have found it as offensive as some, but it's a bit basic and could do with being expanded. Phones and cars could easily deal with it, like being able to open the sunroof as well as turn the ventilation on if it's hot, or start the heated seats before you get in it.

Installed and created an account without any problems. When trying to add my vehicle I input all the required details, vehicle was found and then when trying to add to my newly created account it would not connect to server. Tried numerous attempts since and does absolutely nothing when I press 'continue' to try and connect to server and add my vehicle to my account. Highly disappointing.

Simply will not work! Tried to register my email but nothing back from BMW, not even in the spam folder. I've now tried three different email accounts; and NOTHING! A big waste of time, just frustrating.

Works from Web interface on mobile devices or PC however the android program sends the command but does not close . It hangs on "transfering command " .The car runs the commad but ithe app is stuck so cannot run another command. It must be restarted. I think that the car is not able to communicate back to the mobile device that it has run the command but is able to communicate if the command comes from the Web interface. Same problem with android tablet (galaxy tab 10.1) and galaxy s4 phone. Please fix.

They have got to be kidding. £290 to activate the remote part of the app!!!. £50 for the remote part + £240 of a prereq connected services. If I'd wanted to waste huge sums of money on apps, I'd have bought an iPhone

and so better! Yes it is somehow connecting to the car, but before so displays old and therefore unreliable info without letting you know that they're not up to date. Shame.

Never very good this app, the latest update claims my account doesn't exist any more so I cannot do anything. A permanent cycle of password and PIN. Please BMW, learn something about software before putting out this rubbish.

Don't bother downloading if you have a Samsung. You'll only get as far as trying to add the vehicle. It seems to work for iPhone users though. Very disappointed I can't get to use this feature

When I enter my VIN, it bring you my car but then won't even let me click continue? Anyone else having this problem on Samsung s7 edge?

The app work as claimed although kinda slow. One problem I have is whenever I send a location directly from google map, the app says could not find the location. Please fix this.

Was not a great app before. Nothing changed with the update visibly. The remote stuff from BMW so far below standards. A waste of money to order this "extra"

Glad in Australia the connected drive is Standard as if I'd optioned this would have been much worst. WARNING using BMW Google maps in this app it will show permanent closed stores open and then with the cars navigation will drive you there through concrete barriers and down one-way roads the wrong way. Also with no HUD speed in Australia as foolishly turned off by BMW. Now the app deleted my profile and will not allow login as from 8th February 2017.

I'm the owner of a brand new BMW730d and whilst I'm very happy with the driving experience of the new car, I find the digital experience of this app very disappointing. The search function of the map is very basic, unlike, funny enough, the Mini XL app which seems to be far ahead this!!!

When are you going to fix this BMW? I was happily using it, and suddenly it now crashes when launched. There are more android devices in use than there are iOS so I'm unsure as to why you've not made this a priority. Sort it out!

Doesn't do anything or provide mutch information. Takes a little time to set up that you will never get back. BMW need to have a think and work a little harder to understand what a customer would want from an app.

**UPDATE: Signed in to my account on an iPhone and iOS version of this app worked. Now the Android app doesn't crash! Perhaps a problem with authorisation in the Android app when connecting to the car. Anyway, if the BMW Connected app is working for you, don't bother with this one - it has less functionality.** App crashes 2 seconds after signing in. Not sure if this has any extra functionality over the BMW Connected app which seems to work ok. Nexus 5X Android 7.1.1

There's a delay when sending commands, and Google Maps can't share searches/locations into the app which properly which is a bit annoying. 'Find my Car' is great, saved me a few times on nights out. Overall, great app and would rather have it then not.

Gutted that I can only get as far as add a vehicle. Once vehicle is added continue is pressed, then pressed again and again and again etc etc. I now have accepted that it doesn't work or is buggy as hell!! Really dissapointed, I was looking forward seeing what the wonders of modern tech would do.

Like another reviewer, I also own a Samsung S7 edge - you get as far as continue and then nothing - it does not work at all - if you own an Android phone don't even waste your time downloading it.

App tells me my vehicle is in Derby, when i'm sat in it in Manchester, London, Newcastle or jusy about anywhere else other than Derby.... only useful bit is being able to send postcode information via Google maps to onboard sat nav, pity it doesn't use route info, as I sometimes prefer to alter my route in Google maps depending on the time of day i'm driving.....

I have just bought a new 3 series touring and have followed the instructions to the letter using my galaxy note 3 and the stupid app wont work.WHY!!!! To be honest all the things you are supposed to be able to do you might as well just wait until you get in the car.Waste of my time.

It's been months now and it still crashes every time I click on the remote or map tab. Seriously expected better from a premium car manufacturer... UPDATE: Looks like it's been replaced by the BMW Connected app without informing anyone...

After being unable to add my car through the app itself, i was able to add it through the web portal. The app was difficult to set up demanding multiple different codes, commands to the car are slow at around 15 second delay, with limited functionality of what you can actually do in the app. Could be better.

From the registration process through to updates that require obscure account information to be re-entered, to a limited set of services that only sometimes work.... a mess and detracts from the ownership experience

The app has a degree of usefulness such as locating your car, turning on the fans or making the lights flash but since I've installed Nougat on my Nexus it keeps crashing.

Downloaded and installed this app yesterday. It allowed me to get past adding my car then when input in my name and pressed continue the app crashed. Tried it a number od times and it doesnt work anyone with a samsung s7 edge phone forget it! Disappointed at the poor quality of this app from the high quality BMW brand.

First everything looks good. Then when you try to use the app. it crashes right away after PIN code acceptance. I thought that BMW kinda player would've been tested the software widely before launching it out..Not good.

I don't understand why BMW are giving attention only for apple products. It works fine on iPhone but on my S7 edge works slow and it get stuck. Come on BMW you can do better, is just an app!

Can't open remote services as app crashes instantly every time 'app stopped' Very disappointing from BMW. If you disable mobile network data, open the app and then enable data, the app works!

Would have expected better from my new car purchase. Can't add car to app. The registration email includes a web link that is broken. German engineering my arse. Maybe I should have bought an Audi or a Merc.

If you're having issues adding your vehicle use a PC and use the Connected Drive website to login and add your vehicle from there. Once done load the app up again and your vehicle will be in the list! Old review: Recognises VIN and pulls up vehicle details but when tapping continue it does nothing. S7 Edge.

When I attempt to add my vehicle, it finds it, but when I press 'Continue' it does nothing. Can't get any further.

Cannot add a car. After entering VIN and displaying the right car model pressing Continue button does nothing. The App is unusable.

I am using a samsung tablet and have a brand new bmw and I cannot use this app at all. Two problems I cannot verify my car after my vin is entered, it shows my car as a little picture then says continue but it just hangs there or the other problem is password recognition tried for two hours to use the app.forced to change password many times and it may say internal error password problem . still cannot use the app.wasted 2 hours of life. DONT BOTHER.
