Singletracks Lite: MTB Trails for Android
Needs to make better use of maps. For travel planning it would be beneficial to have the trail list by state display on a map. Lots of great content on Singletrack, just challenging to get at it. Even their list of best trails in the world, is not mappable and only shows nearby city without state/province so finding a trail based on planned travel is arduous. MTB Project is so much better in this regard, but Singletrack has more content. If only I could use MTB Project app on Singletrack content. Every time I try to use it to locate trails in another area, I find it absolutely unusable. Works fine for locating trails near me which is fine if you don't travel to new areas.
Slow and clunky. Try Trailforks or MTB Project. I want to like this but it's been leapfrogged
I love the singletracks web site, but this app is pretty bad.
Can't browse map? It just loads a few local trails. Why can't I zoom to a certain area of the map and see what's there?
Doesn't work
Easy to use, lot of MTB trails
Great
Constantly crashing...unusable!!...and now uninstalling
All features work for me on GS4. Nice to be able to review trails it would be nice to be able to add a gps tank of the trail tho. Need to add a pay version to drop the ads.
No brands I'm interested in. No trails near me. Maybe meant just for US use?
When they say "lite" they mean LIIIITE! the app has nothing on it except links to upgrade to other versions. I click on a link to a map of nearby trails and it says "upgrade to single tracks topo to view maps". Thanks for nothing. And I mean NOTHING. uninstalled.
Signup is totally lame. It doesn't tell you the username is taken until you enter all your signup information. Once you hit SUBMIT, it thinks about it for a while, then dumps all the info you entered with your thumbs and tells you "the user name or the email address is already taken". Really? And they don't even tell you which is taken--the email address or the username! So I tried a second time with a different username, and it dumped all my info again. Meanwhile, ads are scrolling by faster than a ticker tape. Uninstalling without even getting through signup. Lay-hay-hame!
Looks great has all the info I need so far gonna get a lot of use once the snow melts
Easy to use, lot of MTB trails
Why not tell folks that there is no map in the free version up front? Stupid.
Would be more useful if Trails listed specified distance and allowed you to filter to list trails of min distance. Eg be nice to find trails in AZ of min 20 mi. Also how about a menu item for DIY repairs and maint.
This little app is amazing, it is a map and guide to any single track trail in any area, found trails less than 10 miles away that I never knew existed, love it!!
2008 called, they want their app back.
Sucks, then freezes... which sucks.
Useless. No maps or anything. Don't understand the point of even offering a free version...
This app is really cool but if I don't have service I can't check in. It will log my GPS location until I can get service to check in under the pending check in button but it never loads the offline check in. It just continually says "loading" while running my battery down in the process. (Samsung s5). Update, up to 6 pending check-ins. Won't load.
App stopped working when I downloaded update and I can't go back to old version that worked fine
App worked fine before but now doesnt do anything, it just says loading trails. I cant find any new trail, cant check in, cant do crap with it. Fix it

How can the full version not be available everywhere? Uninstalling and using other more intelligent applications. Lame guys....
Needs a custom search for shops and bikes. Let me search trails by difficulty, terrain, climb ect. Let me search shops by type, rating, what they sell, ect. Also for certain parks there are many trails and many difficulties that should have sub sections with details about each trail elevation difficultie length route ect.
This app is awesome! Makes it so easy for me to find local trails wherever I am!
App works great for Florida trails
I love the site on the Internet and have been a member since 05, but the app is only so, so.
Great once again, thanks for fixing the problems. Happy to be using and updating and finding trails once again
Good for finding trails when traveling. Only draw backs are there needs to be a better ratings scale and more rider feedback.
I can't use this app due to the fact it is always asking me to write a review. I have done so before at least twice and still it won't let me continue. I also have choose the "ask me later" option and still I am unable to use the app.
Pretty much exactly what i need. Occasionally glitchy.
Very nice to have if you are a mtb'er. Works decently well. Very similar to the website.
After the update it works again.
Dated
Now i cant use unless i download itunes. I will pay for it in Droid Apps not itunes. FIX IT AND YOU WILL GET A 5 again.
Works pretty well when I've used it on road trips to find local trails. Reviews and trail status updates are helpful. For those reasons alone, it's worth having for my needs, however the "find nearby trails" option is permanently set to some very small distance, maybe 15-20 miles so it's value is greatly lessened - this needs to be adjustable. Can't send pics either, app seems bugged for the galaxy S5. Also needs to be able to work offline automatically and update when signal returns.
Great app to use when it isn't freezing and shutting itself off. Really need to fix the random catastrophic app failures, perhaps a better developer, or a better testing phase...

The app takes a very long time to load in fact it never did load my local trails. When I found a trail by searching it was listed as Beginner when this trail is actually black Diamond expert so that is potentially dangerous. Also the maps would not load once I found a trail. Trailforks is MUCH better.
