من حكم وأقوال إبن القيم رحمه الله:

-إن للصدقـة تأثيراً عجيباً في دفـع الـبـلاء ، ولو كانت من فاجر أو ظالم ، بل من كافر .

-لا تتم الرغبة فى الآخرة إلا بالزهد فى الدنيا ، فإيثار الدنيا على الآخرة إما من فساد فى الإيمان وإما من فساد فى العقل ، أو منهما معا.

-فى القلب شعث لا يلمه إلا الإقبال على الله ، وفيه وحشه لا يزيلها إلا الأنس بالله ، وفيه حزن لا يذهبه إلا السرور بمعرفه الله ، وصدق معاملته ، وفيه قلق لا يسكنه إلا الاجماع عليه والعزاء إليه.

-مثال تولُّد الطاعة، ونموِّها، وتزايدها - كمثل نواة غرستها، فصارت شجرة، ثم أثمرت، فأكلتَ ثمرها، وغرستَ نواها؛ فكلما أثمر منها شيء جنيت ثمره، وغرست نواه.وكذلك تداعي المعاصي؛ فليتدبر اللبيب هذا المثال؛ فمن ثواب الحسنةِ الحسنةُ بعدها، ومن عقوبة السيئة السيئةُ بعدها.

-من كان قرة عينه فى الصلاة فلا شىء أحب إليه ولا أنعم عنده منها ويود أن لو قطع عمره بها غير مشتغل بقربها وإنما نفسه إذا فارقها بأنه سيعود إليها عن قريب فهو دائما يئوب إليها ولا يقضى منها وطرا فلا يزن العبد إيمانه ومحبته لله بمثل ميزان الصلاة ، فإنها الميزان العادل الذى وزنه غير مائل .

-للعبد ستر بينه وبين الله، وستر بينه وبين الناس؛ فمن هتك الستر الذي بينه وبين الله هتك الله الستر الذي بينه وبين الناس.

-إن مخالفه الهوى تورث العبد قوة فى بدنه وقلبه ولسانه ، قال بعض السلف : الغالب لهواه أشد من الذى يفتح المدينة وحده ، وكلما تمرن على مخالفته هواه اكتسب قوة إلى قوته .

-من علامات صحة القلب : ألا يفتر عن ذكر ربه ، ولا يسأم من خدمته ، ولا يأنس بغيره إلا بمن يدله عليه ، ويذكره به.

-أعظم الربح في الدنيا أن تشغل نفسك كل وقت بما هو أولى بها، وأنفع لها في معادها.

-لو نفع العلم بلا عمل لما ذم الله - سبحانه - أحبار أهل الكتاب، ولو نفع العمل بلا إخلاص لما ذم المنافقين.
