Recipe Box

It's a great and simple app to keep all your recipes. The only issue I have when I'm using my phone to glance at the app while I'm cooking is it will automatically scroll all the way to the bottom after about a minute, forcing me to scroll back up and look for where I've left off. Can't tell if the ads are causing it to scroll to the bottom or it's buggy. Aside from that, if you want simple, this is where you stop looking.

A very useful app, and worth purchasing the upgrades. Only two little tweaks required to make it perfect. 1. Recipes should open in view mode not edit mode. 2. An autosave feature so that you don't lose your edits when you switch out of the app to check something. Edit (14/2/17)for the benefit of other purchasers: The automatic scrolling that people are complaining about is caused by the ads. It's worth the 59p purchase price to get rid of it. Your recipes are not 'lost' when you install on a new phone or tablet if you manually copy the data.RecipeBox file from the old device to the new one and then use the 'Restore backup' function from within the app

I loved this app until I tried to backup the recipes to a micro sd card. I purchased another phone and wanted to restore the recipes from the backed up sd card; but that didn't work as the app encountered some sort of error. As this is a free app, there don't appear to be any updates. So the numerous recipes I added are now lost unless I decide to manually type in all of them which is not going to happen.

I just found this wonderful recipe box app, and am so delighted with it! All of my favorite recipes are now at my fingertips. I can take recipes with me to the grocery store, and get all the ingredients I need! The app is VERY WELL ORGANIZED! No more hunting down recipes and cookbooks! Thank you for such a wonderful tool!

Just jotted down a quick recipe to save. It was easy to choose the proper category and having a few quick touch buttons for common amounts was a nice feature. I do wish there were more options for that feature (JUST ADD A 1 please! It would make a big difference). I did lose my original recipe that I started typing out because I switched to a different screen to compare another note, so I was disappointed it couldn't handle that. Note: I'm on an HTC ONE M8 If that helps the developers. Will give 5 stars

Needs capacity to share among devices ...worthless otherwise. Developer should easily add this feature ...otherwise you lose all recipes when you upgrade devices ..no way to export --ugh

Just wanted an app to store my recipes, so they were mobile and could be taken with us when we went camping. Love that you can search by category, cuts down the number of recipes shown if you want a certain type of recipe. Like shortcut keys for adding ingredients. Awesome basic recipe box - just what I needed.

I would give it 5 stars if you all had an online component... A way we can login and save the recipes under an account so we can access anywhere (even if phone/sd card is lost)

This app allows you to enter your own personal recipes and even has tabs so you done have to type in the measurements. I would give 5 stars if it allowed you to add pictures.

Everything is right at my fingertips when I'm cooking. I can sort, make my own categories and paste recipues right in. Purchased upgrades and I could not be more pleased. Thank you!!!

Wish i could sync with other devices but great app otherwise

On this app - you can save all of your favorite recipes & organized by category. Very easy to work. Just like following directions in a cookbook.

This is simple and easy app to use. The only issues is that it has no backup/export/import feature. Have lost lots and tired of having to reenter things again. Developer- PLEASE add feature to save to SD card. Thx

While the app is aestheticly nice and fairly functial, the fact that you can't back out of a recipe entry before completion without it being deleted is too much a hindrance.

Great, simple app, will probably become a fave. I would LOVE to see the ability to create my own custom categories rather than the one provided - as someone who organizes local events for a community, I have many recipes for specific events - and I'd love to be able to create these as custom categories. I suspect I'm not the only one. Back-up ability would also be awesome, though not necessary for me, as I'm using the app as an alternate recipe storage location. Thanks for creating a nice, simple, practical app. Love it. Please consider adding the ability for users to create their own custom categories, though. Thanks! Tracey

Nice first attempt at a simple recipe adding app. Looks like recipes aren't saved anywhere so if you lost or replaced your phone they're gone. No photos or other features of note. Like a notes app geared for recipes, ok but I'm looking for a more full featured recipe app that is tablet based.

I love the idea of a simple no frills recipe manager but this is a tad too simple. I would like the ability to customise food categories - there is lunch, breakfast and desert category but none for dinner or evening meal. It has crashed on me too. Nonetheless, I will continue to use it because it's still the best simple recipe manager I have found. Hopefully there will be some nice updates in the future.

Well get 5 stars when I can back up with Drop Box or Google Drive :)

Its ok but it forces close when the orientation changes

this is great app, but there is no way to back up recipes so you are screwed if you lose your device or your device breaks. To the developer of this app, please add the function to export or backuo data.
