Ampwifi Winamp Remote

Since I use my PC and Winamp as my main music source, this gives me all the control I need.

So far works great! I'd love to see the addition of basic functions in a widget, notification/lock screen controls.

I love this essential companion for Winamp. All features and no filler. With DrO makiing the community update pack "WACUP" we will be using this app for a long time. 1 request. Custom DL option so I can use extSdCard.

AjaxAmp works almost flawlessly and it has a good UI. I've just got a suggestion for a new feature: It's great that you can change the volume using your mobile device's volume rocker, but it only changes by one step for each press. It would be great if i could hold the button and it would go like about 4 steps a second.

O aplicativo é realmente muito bom e se mostra útil de fato. Mesmo assim, hoje, infelismente, o que nos chama a atenção é o visual, fazendo parte fundamental do citado. Não temos um visual agradável ou natural, é feio e um tanto quanto bagunçado. Outro fator importante é a falta do mesmo na área de notificação ao deixar o app em segundo plano, outra grande função necessária.

First off...thanks very much to the developer for offering this up! This app is just tremendous! The main play interface is great and it's very easy to set up. I also like how the library can be grouped by folder. This is huge to us types who are a bit OCD about how we set up our music libraries. This is THE app to use for casual DJing at a house party. So, why am I not giving this 5 stars.. A couple small gripes that I'm hoping the developer may consider in a future rev. The app really needs to remain on the notification bar when 'minimized.' As it is, a user must go back to the icon wherever it may lie (it's on my home screen). Look at other music apps and you can see how they do this. Related, some sort of functionality on the Lock screen would be very helpful with this app (i.e. pause, track advance/reverse, etc). And, this is a small one...but it would be great if the app would render album art. Should any of these be added later, my rating will most certainly change to 5 stars! Thank you again very much for this...seriously!

Best remote that you can find, but i got little problem, can't use search. It doesn't find nothing on my playlist what i'm searching for. I installed plugin on pc.

Does the job, no ads, best winamp remote app on market. Hope u can make it automatically detect new ip address of same computer (which configuration is ip dynamic)

Got a problem connecting at first, but Michael was so helpful and helped me set it up. One suggestion would be to hook this up on the notification tray, just for convenience. Thanks a lot for making this app.

Its very good app.. I can change my music freely when i'm not in front of my pc.. But always got error (unknown occured) when try to stream or download..

This app is the best remote control for winamp. Great utility, clean UI, seamless functioning, great performance. Great work guys, keep it up !

Simple, fast, easy to read and use. Folder browser is awesome. It does not play saved playlists is that correct? Also how do I donate?

Does not stream to device and cannot down song from PC to android device, always says download unsuccessful! Please fix this.

You need a plugin for winamp but that's about it. Can't browse my library from the phone but that's fine for me. Happy as a camper that I can control winamp from my phone while listening hehe. Update: after writing thus I saw in the online docs that you need to build a separate database in the plugins' settings dialogue. The documentation is perfect but I was not expecting it lol.

After installing the plug-in on Win 7 I was able to connect to a 'server' (laptop) in the app and control the playback as desired. Only issue is that the Winamp window on the PC is not visible anymore: music plays and can be controlled from the phone, but not on the PC, except for the little buttons on the window preview of the Taskbar. Also, a widget and especially lock screen controls would be amazing. Thank you for a very handy free app.

All the other remotes require a third party app. That's silly. There's no reason it has to be anything more than a Winamp plugin. Ajax is light, it detected my PC right away and works like a charm.

I do not see a way to do this anywhere. It states that it will work with a program such as google play, but I have not got it to be able to play music to the device. I would like to setup my old phone as a music player hooked up on my network and stereo. This app works the same as winamp remote.

Nearly perfect. It should support .m3u8 files. Then i'll give it five stars.

Great app, good instructions.

I like that the server is an add on within winamp rather than a completely separate program. It is easy to use, but one thing I would like to see in an update would be the ability to use winamp's queue function when long pressing a song name. Also, it works well on my tablet, but on an ace ii x its constant refreshing is extremely annoying (I did not take off a star for that, though, because the ace ii x is usually pretty annoying anyways)
