Phandroid (OLD)

It's a nice easy way to read articles but its unfinished. Comment section needs a lot of work. Plus is seems to have a serious memory leak. I just killed a running svc of 40MB and I haven't opened the app in 6 hours.

Easy access to android news and forums. I keep waiting to see "coming soon" tag disappear from Apps, Search, and Profile. Of course I am enjoying the app without these features; it's just a tease to see the nonfunctional features sitting there.

Glad they have an app for the forum, but it is really weak. They should simply pay for the Tapatalk instance and run with it. I'm not looking forward to checking the forums daily.

Serious bringing into the NOW needed, promised updates for waaaay too long, I'm now using Taptu for my Android news needs. I'll be back for fixes, still is good news feed.

I love to get Phandroid news on the go, but after over a year, there are still all these "soon" options. Also, at least for my phone, no YouTube videos work. Other than that, I can't complain

Really in need of a refresh, disqus comment support has been on the site for almost a year but the app has yet to see an update to it. A more intuitive, Holo based, UI would be great. Good content, so-so app.

Only shows a small list of headlines with no option for more. LOVE INTERFACE, r u listening Droid Life/Android Central?

Why permission for Phone calls?!?! Good app so far pleasr fix permisns and keep improvimg the UI Lov Phandroid please keep support!

After update it still sucks up memory. Comments are posted in reverse order. Still love it though. Please fix.

Great app until about a week ago. Now I keep getting unknown error on the comments. I redownloaded it and can't even read any articles just says unknown error.

I want to like this app a lot. it its one of the most polished Android news apps but it will not refresh new stories.

Ok so you would think that this app would have a better UI but really it is stuck in the gingerbread days. Please make this more appealing.

Use to work great. I now have to uninstall and reinstall every few days to get the news to refresh. Tired of it. Uninstalling until it gets fixed.

Doesn't work now. It used to work. Now it says "unknowingly error". Fix it please.

I love phandroid, check it everyday. But the app stops refreshing articles every few days&I have to reinstall it or clear the cache for it to work

You can't close this without doing a "force close". Ridiculous!

This app is great for tracking Phandroid news articles. I agree with other commenters about the lack of update. The refresh bug is quite annoying.

I have a speedy 1.51 dual core tablet... But this app makes it lag and lock up.

Why does this app stay in the notification bar after I close it? I keep having to force close it.. Frustrating

I love this up, but recently I get read my msgs I get error I'm using a ZTE avid

Sometimes its system process keeps cpu busy and keep consuming data even not using it!

The app keeps an icon in my notification bar all the time that I can't get rid of for some reason. I'll just connect via the browser.

Since my phone is rooted I can still use many of the programs

Android Forums is a better app. Can't understand why Neverstill would have that AND this when this could easily be scrapped. It gets the job done though, just feels hecka cheap while using it.

It does have issues, but it is still in Beta after all. Still a handy app.

With this app i am updated too the latest android news. Works on both my galaxy tab and my phone!

But where do I log into Disqus? Otherwise, pretty easy to use interface. Not too bad looking but I've seen better looking news apps. Still good job thus far.

Great app when it works, just sits there refreshing never actually showing anything new, uninstall, switching to the working engadget app

Widget stays in memory all the time even when never used. Comments reversed. other than that, it's a good reader.

Still a buggy asp after all this time. they seem to have abandoned this

While the new interface looks better, Video articles auto close without playing, writing is mediocre, writer chris chavez is a total douche bag.

Great app before latest update. Now even when connected to the internet it says . Check your net connection please.

This app blows now they haven't updated it in over a year, so until then I'll only give it one star.

I finally found the information for rooting my phone that I have been looking for for months the first time I went to the site

Good app, good website. The only problem is it runs as a service in the background for no valid reason and unable to disable that "feature"
