OnCall Pager Pro for Android
Recently broke. This app used to repeatedly page you until you clicked on the event. Now it only rings once and does not continually alert you, which is important when you are sleeping or away from your phone momentarily. What is the reason for this change?
Perfect app for those that are on call.
Edit: Revised my rating down to 3 stars since I just found out that if you plug headphones in, it only plays the notification sound through headphones, despite all other android notifications not doing this. Emailed the developer and there didn't seem to be any interest in fixing it. Will go back to 4, possibly 5 stars if this ever gets fixed. --- App works great and does everything I want it to do. I would prefer if it would consume the SMS and play its notification instead of taking over all notifications though. I silenced the default and only have it notify on my contact matches and it seems to work well that way.
Could use couple of emt/fire/ DISPATCH sounds as they are distinctive. Included sounds are mostly everyone has it so look at phone to check anyway. Works on LG G3 Android 5.0.1 ok..does not seem to have method to select what sound goes to what email or phone numbers. Have 2-3 different DISPATCH systems that use different header info. But still doing checks.
On nexus 6p, it won't do an audible alarm. Having to switch to something else
Im on call and it is able to differentiate between different contacts paging me. A life saver. Thanks.
Been using this app for a long time. Very good for my requirements. Only issue I have is sometimes the alerts wont stop even after I check my text message. To get it to stop I have to force close the app.

Unfortunately the app was not compatible with my custom Rom, however the Dev was very responsive and willing to help, and then provided a refund promptly when we discovered the app could not be supported on cm12. Great developer, easy to deal with and responded quickly.
I am a firefighter and this is awesome! I've gone through many apps to find what I needed. This is the only app that will work with mms texts! I would suggest a power button widget so I can easily disable alerts if I'm out of town. Everything else is perfect. Well worth the $4.99! UPDATE: After being able to update this app, I recant my previous complaint about custom ringtone settings since it is working great now! Changed to 5 STARS!
I am on call for my job (IT). This app is a lifesaver. Best part is I can filter out certain words so I know some alerts I get from servers are junk.... I used to use SMS!Alert but it stopped working when I got my gs5. This was an much better replacement, so I'm glad my other app broke. So worth $5. No need to carry a crappy pager and no worries I'm going to open a critical incident ticket or page from work.
Tried several others and this one has been the best. 5*, worth the money!
Works well, does exactly what is says on the tin. Ran into some self made problems, contacted the maker and got the issue sorted. This app allows me to never miss a message (Even if the phone is on Silent) you can set the app to over ride your personal settings so that you never miss an important message. I am a volunteer for the Mountain Rescue, so missing a call is not an option!
Does what I need. Responsive support.
Update to previously mentioned issues below. Developer provided great support and helped with the settings. Keyword match had to be disabled for if left blank, all contacts will trigger a match. Samsung galaxy s3. Plays chosen ringtone though it cuts it off after 3 seconds per ring (not abig deal). Works perfectly once you figure it out.
I've tried a few different pager apps and I chose this one. I had a few questions and the developer was very responsive. This app has a few more options than some of the others and it still remains easy to setup and understand. This will ring my phone even when the sound is turned off and repeat until I clear the message. Just like a pager and exactly what I needed.
Does exactly what I need. Been looking for a reliable pager type app for search and rescue callouts.
After downloading the pro version I found it didn't do quite what I needed so I contacted the app developer. Within minutes he contacted me back. He has now made all the changes I needed to make the app perfect! Very impressed!
I have a buddy with a verizon note 3 and it works for him however on sprint the same application/same phone does not work. Im still on jelly bean and he is on kitkat so that might play a part in the issue The features in the free version weren't enough to test versus my carrier/phone so I had to purchase the pro version to even verify this would work. Additionally my 1 star rating I previously left just up and vanished off the playstore so not to sure about that.
This is awesome! Such a great deal for a product i use so much for personal and work
I use it so i get persistent reminders for when my children text me for a ride, i dont miss the text.
A must have app.! Worth every penny. Thanks Dev.!!!

After trying multiple free alternatives, this was the only app the would work with Google Fi sms relayed messages. I only really like this for its function, not it's design which is ultimately not intuitive. I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how to filter messages based on keywords, and how to ignore messages that weren't not(?) being ignored. So I basically tried combinations until it worked (it worked!). As far as options go, this is the best for Fi users, but expect a learning curve.
