I'm trying to search for a title and the search button doesn't even click

Wouldn't work after registration. No idea how the app works- keeps crashing

It barely allows you to download purchases and doesn't allow you to play them.

I've got a lot of audiobooks I purchased years ago and even though I'm not currently purchasing my old books are still there. I like to be able to listen while I'm sewing. Considering renewing my subscription.

Just installed the app and keep getting the following error when trying to search for books. "Whoops. Called methods results were not parsed correctly. parseResults() failed" if the app/backend services start working I may adjust my review

App crashes after signing in on my stock Google Pixel. It is useless on the most standard edition of Android. Hope they fix it soon.

I've been using this app since the end of 2014. It's always been a no-frills app that got the job done but did have some quirks like crashing on startup. Within the last few months though, the app has been updated and it has frustratingly gotten worse. I'm now on a Pixel, and the app frequently stops playing while I'm in the car and has to be restarted. It has lost its place several times, fast forwarding hours ahead of where I was. This makes the app unusable on long car trips. Fast forward and rewind buttons frequently don't work, or require multiple presses. It's a shame because I really like Downpour, but now I need to find another way to play their books. I've stopped my subscription over this. Downpour needs more developers, more frequent updates, and better quality assurance for this app.

The appwont let me sign in, I created my account and when I put my email and password in they always tell me that something has gone wrong, always always always. Useless app that doesn't work

no store to shop books online @ phone. ui so clunky & basic had to sign up @ laptop. Rented book and refuse to download under any circumstances.

This app desperately needs to provide the user with the ability to shop for books through the app itself. As it stands now, the app is merely a player. Appreciate the drm-less audio though!!

Three years ago I tried this app and it crashed constantly. I was forced to try it again today as some of the books now require it (ugh), and I'm incredibly disappointed to find the latest version hasn't improved much. It looks better, yes, but constantly stops playback and has to be restarted to fix. Worse, sometimes it completely loses where you were, skipping ahead minutes or even hours. I really want to love this service, but c'mon Downpour, all you need to do is playback audio, this can't be that hard... PLEASE FIX.

I really like downpour the store/service. The app is not good at all- not in any way. It is like this app dies not even try. Very minimal functions. The app itself deserves less than 1 star. You cannot search for books to purchase via the app. You can not view progress of book, only of segment. The good news is that you can change the root folder for Smart ABP to "/Android/com blackstonehybrid/files" and use Smart ABP to listen to the Blackstone purchases.

This app sucks. Resets the book to the beginning every time I open the app. This just started in the past couple of weeks. Samsung Galaxy S8.

The new app update loses track of where you were in a book! Unusable!

Download fine but not able to use the app, will not search or load anything.

Can't tell if I have any credits, Can't find where I would find my sign up info, credit card etc.. Can't find where to cancel service. My first book froze up on me and quit playing. Not happy

This app DOES NOT WORK! !!! I attempted to download a story, it froze, would not complete download, would not play tracks downloaded. I uninstalled it and reinstalled next day. Same problem - DOES NOT WORK! Does not play.

I love Downpour so I'm sorry to say this, but the app is garbage. I have to uninstall>reinstall every time I want to download a new book. I've also had issues with it leaping back to the same time stamp as where I had been listening previously, but in the first chapter instead of the correct one!

I find Downpour-as a service-to be wonderful. The app is not so easy to use, but I always get my books! I'd love to be able to use chromecast with this to play books on my Google Homes

Bad

First time user, installed and registered, had some parser error as soon as it tried to retrieve data from the cloud. I'm looking for an Audible alternative as it seems they've cornered the market, but it doesn't seem like DownPour is up to the task just yet.

I can't even play my music from this stupid app.

Good First Start

I had lots of problems getting the book I bought to play on my phone or my tablet. Support suggested to delete the book and reinstall the app. That didn't help, but on one try the app suggested to sync with the other device, and I was able to hear my book. Then I had the frustration of the playback completely stopping on anything (text, WhatsApp, phone...) and resuming only by unlocking the phone and pressing play on the app.button or.app notification. In my car, pressing prev/next goes to prev/next track without skip control. Sometimes it forgets my current position and starts from the beginning. To sum up: primitive app, basic functionality missing, little configuration ability. Used on Samsung galaxy s8 an Samsung galaxy tab s2

Had to come to it because audible was missing 1 book of a series I wanted. It freezes about 20 seconds into play. Have to close all apps and reopen to attempt the next 20 seconds or so. Clicking play or rewinding do nothing to get it to play over a previous spot.
