Xavier MRZ Scanner

Xavier MRZ Scanner is an OCR scanner that uses your mobile device's camera to scan, capture, perform OCR operation and validate the MRZ (machine readable zone) of all ICAO compliant travel document including:

• Passports
• Visas
• Enhanced Driver’s Licenses
• Border Crossing Cards

The Scanner is built on top of the Xavier MRZ SDK. The SDK has the following characteristics:

• All the processing occurs on your phone or tablet so you can avoid the latency of a server based solution.
• No personal data is transferred to a remote server for OCR operations.
• Built in auto capture mechanism with a configurable quality threshold and auto capture time out.
• Context sensitive validation and error correction
• Check digit validation
• Ability to add or modify travel document data structure and types.

Xavier engages the mobile camera to find, frame, focus and scan the MRZ, then delivers plain text or an XML parsed field list for use in your mobile travel apps or passport control processes.

The Scanner will copy this captured and parsed MRZ to your clipboard.

The SDK reduces in-house development cost and its sample code simplifies integration.
