BUZZI - Smart Switch for Android
This app continues to work well after the most recent update. I just have to keep checking to make sure my firmware is up todate at all times. I would recommend this device to others and now want to buy another but cant find one on amazon or ebay(only price scalpers on there asking over 70 bucks per outlet!!) I hope this product is still being made. Kudos ro the BUZZI dev team for constantly pushing out updates. Keep up the good work.
Product worked when I bought it roughly a year ago but all the subsequent updates failed to remedy the situation. Right now on G4, marshmallow
The product would not connect to my dhcp server (linksys router). Not going to buy a new router to connect 1 buzzi device. All other devices are able to connect to my router, and my links router is made by cisco (linksys).
All of my items show offline. And when I logged out and back in... They are now all gone. Essentially the devices are just bricks again! I guess I wait for next update?
Continually crashes after each of your updates on multiple devices. This is ridiculous. *Every update makes the device unresponsive and useless. Do not buy
I have been extremely critical of both the product and the company in the past, but after seeing them actually respond to my play store review and make corrections, I was willing to try the product again. The newest firmware and app are a huge improvement from the previous, and I decided to hook up the IR blaster and it went smoothly and worked perfectly. Certainly some credit is due. If Blackloud fixes the "comming soon" message on their /support page, I will even update my Amazon review to be positive.
The app won't open and crashes at launch rendering it useless. Waste of money on the device which cannot be accessed Update 5/28/16 The app has been updated and now works perfectly
Had problems with the previous update. But this one is much better. Can't say it is perfect, time will tell.
Worked fine until new update. Now requires an account which I created, detects buzzing but does not add it to the list of available devices One would think the update would have retained the old settings!
With the new update, this app is finally working again
inconsistent. Have to exit the app to hopefully get it to start the next time. I think that's what got it working after a few times.
no sirve, funciono los primeros meses, luego no se conecto mas nunca dice "connecting to buzzi" y luego sale "failed to set up the connection, please try again later" que perdida de dinero, vivo en venezuela y solo me dan 300 dolares al año y no es justo que pierda mi dinero de esa manera...
After setting and resetting up my devices on the app they don't show up when I need them.i have to then start the set up process from start to use this. This is just disgusting.folks plz don't buy any buzzi devices
Needs to link faster
Works great when it works. Most of the time doesn't even open.
It's a good app, I like the UI, but still has room to improve! For example the schedule time off/on is a little hard to setup! It do work remotely turn on and off, good job! Oh NO! After upgrade the app, I can't open it up anymore, please help!!!
New update broke app. Please fix. Crash upon launch.
Continually crashes after each of your updates on multiple devices. This is ridiculous.
App won't open. Even when I could get it to load, a month ago, the app itself would completely reset everytime my WiFi went down. Junk.
Can't always get the app to even turn on
I was able to set everything up in less than ten minutes (good hardware). The app is pretty responsive to connect with the device even remotely, no problems there. But it uses a ridiculous amount of battery, about 25% which is insane given that I only use it once a day to turn on an air conditioner. Please fix this issue.
I have tried neo... Couldn't get it to work remotely. because it said you couldn't use the dual band router. But this buzzi setup without messing with router. Gonna order more.. passed my test. Yahoo..
I lost contact with my Buzzi's after a power outage. They were probably reassigned new IP addresses by my router, not to mention my router's address facing the internet may have been changed since I don't have a static IP address. I don't see any comments on this, but it would explain why many people are losing contact with their Buzzi's. I'll have my router assign them reserved addresses. Hopefully the "cloud" can handle my ISP address changing. Otherwise they were working great, ensuring I could cycle the power on a few crash-prone devices during a vacation while controlling others with the IR remote. A strange combo, but it has been useful.
The cloud server was down when I bought it, couldn't get it to work. But now it works as advertised. Nice!
it worked fine for awhile, but now we can't even sign in to access the device. we tried to reset the password, but nothing! it won't even let us submit it! now we've got 2 buzzi's that won't work.
Please update your app to work with Marshamllow 6.0. My Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 with Marshmallow can't open your app at all. It has been like this for months! The hardware is useless now. Hopefully those who want to buy this hardware read the reviews before they buy this. The developers need to spend some money to update their app. Who will want to buy their hardware if they don't keep their software updated. I will change this when Blackloud fixes their app.
Does not work with marshmallow Android 6. Crashes on launch on a nexus tablet after upgrade to Marshmallow.
Why does this app use so much data?
Force closes on N6 Marshmallow build. Does work on an S3 with CM11.
Suddenly stopped working.
Device is useless.
Immediately crashes on 6.0 Marshmallow. Please fix
Trying to have it to work for 2 weeks. I can't log in anymore. I wasn't able to controll device when on 3g network (wifi worked fine).
App barely works and my buzzi only shows up in the app when it feels like it. When it works, its good..
Good
The app is functional. That's more than I can say about most apps in the app store, but there is still a lot to be desired. The initial setup is a nightmare. I bought five Buzzi devices and configured one. I copied the config to the other ones and they all disappeared from the app the next day.
Had some problem with connecting to my WIFI. MAC address printed on the box had one character wrong... :) (i use MAC filtering on my network). App install and setup was flawless (on Galaxy S3). One unsolved issue: when I'm on 4G (away from home), when I close app an then reopen, it doesn't connect to registered device. Device appears on the list but it's "grayed out" and has mac number instead of my previously defined name. Can't turn it on/off. It goes back to normal when I reconnect my phone to home network and restart app. Any idea?
The app itself is fine, but the product needs third party integration so o can use it with tasker or ifttt.
Remote control works well and push notification works instantly, price wise as well.

Buzzi has gone from suck to blow. At some point it started turning the lights on during the day and forgot about the schedule I set up. Now the app doesn't find the device. Instructions tell you to connect to the Buzzi wifi and then return to the app. I did that, Returned to the app... Then nothing. Not sure what happens next. Might try throwing it out of the window.
