Checkbook Plus

I've been using a different check book app for a few years and recently upgraded my tablet. I was not able to restore the data to my old app so I'm trying this one. Like it so far. One issue I see though is that the account balances don't update after entering a transaction until I close and reopen the app. If I use the transfer funds option, the account balances will update without closing the app first. Not sure what the issue is there. Otherwise, so far so good.

Whoever made my previously favorite checkbook app stopped updating it years ago, and stopped responding to user reviews and inquiries. This made me super sad, as it was the best checkbook app I'd ever found. I was skeptical when I gave this app a try, mostly because I loved the other one so much- how could anything compare? I was pleasantly surprised however! This app is great and does everything I need it to, so that I do not overdraft my account and can pay attention to what I'm spending money on. :-)

Simple, easy to use. Exactly what I was looking for. Josh went out of his way to fix a display issue my phone had. Couldn't ask for more. Edit 9-29 Every update just makes this app better and better. I was thinking about getting an iPhone but I don't want to give up this app! ;)

App is good if you only want to keep up with checkbook on phone. I bought the Pro version so I could export them to CSV files and add transactions from my computer then import them back to my phone as I sometimes like doing. I was sadly mistaken that it could be done with this software. It is only compatible with its on exports for imports so anything you add fails to import. If the only input you want is phone you are good. Have fun just not for me.

After false starts with other apps, this one turned out to be what I was looking for. I needed a way to edit the exported CSV file in order to add in a large volume of transactions kept on a spreadsheet and restore the file to the app. This let me do it, whereas other apps did not. If you have to do that, just beware that the date of transactions uses the Unix date notation method.

Scheduled recurring transactions works great, love how u can still see your transactions after you have marked them cleared. Can't complain. Saves me time from writing it down.

I used to use Loot to keep track of spending in all of my accounts, but unfortunately I reset my phone and the app was no longer available. Other apps just weren't cutting it. I finally found this app, which allows for tons of recurring transactions at different frequencies (monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) and so far everything has been great!

I am wondering if there is a way when adding a transaction that you don't have to keep typing the same one over, ie: Target, Walmart, etc. UPDATE: I can see now that a menu pops up as you add a business name. So far I am really liking it much better than my old version. Thank you for the response and I am sorry it took me so long to answer.

Pretty neat app considering the previous app I was using on my LG Stylo. Which was awesome, v t when I got this new phone, I came to learn the other app wasn't compatible. So, after searching the play store and looking at other apps of this nature. I came to see for myself entering in negative amount were not allowed. Or I just couldn't figure it out. But this app satisfy my needs. I just am not too thrilled about the view. The plus sign which stands for adding an account or transaction covers up information.

It won't let me change or delete any recurring transactions. I can move them around on the screen, but am unable to open or edit them until they "post" in the account.

Wish I could delete vendors but have found no possible way to do so yet. Would be 5 stars if not for that.

It took me a long time to find checkbook app I love after the old one I paid for stopped pushing updates. This app is amazing and does everything I want and need in a checkbook app :)

I recently upgraded cell phones, and the previous app I was using wasn't completely supported by the new cell. After searching several apps this app has the features I need in the free version. After using I will decide whether to go to a higher version of this, or stay where I'm at. But so far this app is really good for a checkbook register.

Exactly what it advertises to be. A nice lightweight mobile checkbook with support for multiple accounts, recurring transactions and future dates. We'll put together and the author is responsive to problems

The app isn't bad just bought the pro version so that way I can set up a pin :) easier than writing it down because I write slow and type fast lol but comes in handy will keep updated ! :)

Since the app I used to use stopped updating and is no longer available,I searched for a better app for years. This one is almost identical to the other one and I love it!!

So far so good. Pros: Multiple Accounts and able to Backup/Restore. Cons: Would be nice to change font setting as I don't really need 4 likes of text for each transaction and a calculator would be nice for the times I need to add additional money to a transfer (ie when I'm using my credit card).

Love the app, but inconveniences drop stars. The 'add transaction' plus button covers total at bottom of screen, and wish it had ability to show recurring transactions in advance of day they're due, or organize them in recurring log by due date

App worked fine for the first couple of days. Try to open now and it will not start. 6.0.1 Disappointed.

Great checkbook app. Some are saying that there is no option to edit since the last update , but slide the transaction sideways to edit. Thanks.

paid the small charge for the premium feature, yet to see anything different from the free version? really like the app though.

I have the Note5 and this app allows me to have recurring auto charges and adds my accounts together do that I have my overall balance. It's easy to use and I recommend it.

So far, so good. Does what I was looking for (basic registry), and more. The extra feature I really like is reoccurring transactions.

I downloaded at least 6 others. none were this good. Use it daily and it's great

Most recent update made the font to large. Even the option to make it smaller doesn't work. Please fix asap!?!

I love having my bank balance at my fingertips. App works great.

However, adding a transaction is awkward. You need to close the keyboard to complete transaction. EDIT: Didn't really help, gets to memo and that's it. Enter button should be a "save" button!?!

App is extremely simple and easy to navigate through, the layout isn't fancy, but simple and concise, allows me to have a wide range of different ways to pay my bills and forsee my on hand cash ahead of time!

Oops! Somehow my review for another app somehow appeared here. I have already reviewed this app. I like it. You can keep track of multiple accounts. The only thing negative I have to say is when I tried to save my transactions in the cloud, I could not find them when I tried to restore my transactions after I had to do a factory reset on my phone.

This is one of the best check book ls I've used. I would like to see us able to make muliltiple selections to clear at one time. Though the swipe option is great too. I also would like to be able to scan a recipt and have the needed info extracted.

I tried for a long time to find a checking app that I liked when I switched to an Android phone from an iPhone. This is the best I have found so far. I wish it was more like Accounts 2 for iPhone but I'll use it since I can't have the other.

I love the different account options and sum of all the accounts. I wish if you made a transfer from one account to another it would automatically reflect that. You have to manually enter the transfer in both accounts

Easy to use. Like the recurring transactions feature for those automatic debits we all like.

Good for the basics of checking, Savings, and credit card accounts. Needs a way to delete everything at the end of a month. Hate having to delete everything one at a time. Nice app.

I don't know why it puts check numbers in when payment was not made by check and I didn't enter any check number when I entered the transaction.

Been using free version about a month, so far very few ads, simple features am satisfied so far... I'll need another month or so to fully decide or to 5 star the app.

A little slower to use than my Mobatech mobile checkbook but that's not available for my device. Still trying to work out the csv file.

I am still trying to learn about the program, right now I love it. It's pretty simple to use.

This is a great app, I like the setup and the interface. The reason it gets a 4/5 is because when you're holding your phone portrait style, it seems to cut off the last digit of your balance while on the accounts menue. Once you rotate your phone to landscape, this is fixed due to the wider interface of the phone. Small kink. Samsung Galaxy S7.
