This would be a very useful ap if Vance County Schools would update the notifications regularly. I mean they haven't even posted the school closing for 2-25-15.

Why would you require an additional app aside from conventional social media outlets in order to provide updates? And what are the costs in terms of programing, maintenance and privacy? For a county who cries "poor-mouth" for failing scores, perhaps the funds invested in this might've been better spent elsewhere, anywhere but on a single purpose app. Twitter is free.
