There is a shutter lag. The camera sensor is not optimized to its fullest potential. Please fix it asap

Camera have 18 mega pixel but image quality was poor and blurry. Blackberry unable to fix the issue.

Latest update is terrible. Phone freezes when you focus. Then crashes. Initially I thought it was the phone. But after I uninstalled the updates it worked again. Recently it auto updated on WiFi. Back to same issue again. Phone crashes when using focus.

All videos recorded with 1080p 60fps and 720p 60fps have wrong with the sound. The sound is slower than the clip.

Camara lenta, se congela a veces. A veces no graba en memoria SD. No lee correctamente la memoria SD. Tengo una clase 10 U3 y me dice que necesito una clase 10 para grabar en 4K.

Now I really like this camera. The ability of manually adjust the focus, ISO, shooter speed, helps a lot. The quality of the image... a lot better. I recently received the PRIV to replace my Passport Silver Edition, I really appreciate the very responsible response for the warranty replacement, love my PRIV now more with these recent updates, the keyboard now is also better.

I am really unhappy with it. My blackberry priv is supposed to have a 2 mp front camera (which is more than my iphone 5C). But the pictures appear dark and grainy (even in good lighting). Would be so great if the front camera produced clearer pictures. Also the app always detects my surrounding as low lighting, even when I am in good lighting! Please fix it... the camera is the only downside to my blackberry priv!

Last update makes images look super clear when taking them but blurry when viewing. Also, when holding focus to lock, it freezes and doesn't allow you to take a picture. Lastly, at times, the pictures comes out almost all white like it was taken with a light shining on the lens.

I don't know if its software or even a hardware issue, but I struggle to get an image to stabilize before shooting a photo. I have had phone for 6 months , dropped it a couple times, nothing crazy. But getting a clear, image to stabilize is now hard to get. If I don't find a solution, it will sadly mean a new phone.

Hi everybody. Could you please answer me? When I record a video and then want to look at it, the sound of the video is very awful. Even the sound in the rom is very loud, but on video it is very low. My microphone, speakerphone and everything else work very well. Ibcant understand what is the problem

Horrible camera quality. With 21 MP camera on my phone I'd expect for it to be able to take decent to good quality photos in low light. Nowhere near comparable to the camera quality of the Samsung galaxy phones, even the older models have better quality. So disappointed in BlackBerry

frequently, after taking several clear pics, the screen and pics taken will be blurred (or shaky). i need to restart the mobile or wait for sometime to make it work again

It gets better with each update but will there be a time that the slow mo mode will include audio? Or have an option to slow mo specific moments during live recording. Ideas that would be great i reckon. Would also be great if time lapse was possible.

For daytime shooting and moderate light, it works great and I like the features and controls for manual photography. At night, in low light, the camera app fails miserably compared to other camera apps on my phone that are geared to taking low light photos. (ie, the limitation is not my phone's camera; it's the BlackBerry camera app)

To everyone who has issues with the camera app: try adjusting your camera settings or you could even put it in MANUAL mode (like a professional camera) . I have not had any issues with my camera. I currently have a Blackberry PRIV with verizon and hardly have any issues when taking pictures. The app is great and viewing photos is awesome! If you have problems, just troubleshoot it! Or restart your phone. Blackberry, despite the one star ratings, I still love you and all that you guys do!

For a while I've noticed that my pictures cannot focus so I'll hold the screen and it will be ok. But lately it's been worse. Standing for a few seconds and the camera just blurs out. I press the screen to focus, it will and moments later it will blur out. I was taking pictures of a birthday cake...so no fast movements and such. Once zoomed in at various events, the focus again gets blurreD. Is there be a proper fix??? This is sad to have a 18mp camera that doesn't work proper half the time.

After the update SD card was seen as Non 10 class. If you have such problem you have to clear camera cache and data or un install the update. Otherwise is not possible to capture movies in 1080

Terrible as it is I now have to use android on my BlackBerry, but this camera is so slow, can't focus on moving objects (I've taka lot of pictures some if cars going 50mph while I'm standing still and perfect pictures on other BlackBerryS) the quality is great for video. I've used BlackBerry for 10 years and this needs updated ASAP! Unless I'm missing something someone help!!!

The original camera software was horrid. 0 stars. This update makes it functional, but it is still inferior to the BB10 camera in my opinion

Cam app works great win u keep still on the dtek60 but come out blurry for fast on the fly pictures taken.. Has lots of options for taking the perfect.. But my only concern is fast on the fly shots needs fixing

I have noticed that bright colors such as from flowers can be over saturated. It would be nice to have more options for the camera settings menu instead of the general options and a setting to capture images for fast moving objects and a little better shutter response. Other than that, it's great

I can't complain. Latest update improved low light noise a lot, from camera seems sharper to me but I dunno.. Don't see a need to get another camera app... could use maybe some more editing tools through

Camera is OK. Needs burst mode, and some other neat functions we should expect. Time shift would be nice. My video frequently records with the sound out of sync. Is there a way to correct this?

Actual featureset is good, but either the Priv's camera is laggy or the software is trying to do something behind the scenes we don't know about... c'mon, speed it up please? :)

The speed is noticeable and so is the quality. No issues faced. The Auto mode captures great images in sufficient lighting. Slow motion videos and panoramic pics are taken with ease. Proud blackberry priv owner

Camera freezes and is slow. Selfie mode doesn't work at all! Pathetic. I would give it zero if I could.

Many people comment on the amazing pictures I take. They're shocked when I tell them they're all taken by my PRIV by BlackBerry using the 'standard' BlackBerry Camera app!

Poor quality and screen sided camera is dark. I have tried playing with the settings. Just moved from the passport . Still happy the phone and all its apps yet the camera is poor

the view gets really blurred/pixelated when I zoom. though the image captured is normal

not bad camera app. but when taking photo it is clear but when view it it will become blurry. also there is no colapse video option. hope to solve these problems

At first Camera app would lockup when switching to front facing camera. Now can't switch at all. The toggle button is grayed out. Rear camera works ok. Not cool.

Worst poorest camera. Very poor colors, please give the app a new update

Thank you BlackBerry for all you have done for me . I have a BlackBerry DTEK 60 with 21 mp camera and am taking fabulous photos . Friends think I must have a DSLR somewhere in the trunk when paging through my album but I tell them no I got a BlackBerry and with BlackBerry you can ! Thanks again I will always be a fan ! One thing could you extend shutter speed in manual mode to 30 minutes instead of 1/2 seconds . That would be so awesome!

After the system and app updates on 8/26 I was unable to turn off the sound notification for the camera. Reverted back to previous version and the problem went away.

Slow operation by today's standards. Huge shutter lag! Could be much better.. No manual settings

No further updates. Slow motion video still does not have audio support. Overall, a premature end to great possibilities .

The last update just made it so bad its very blured dosent give the the pictures it used to before

This seems like a really good compromise between ease of use for the non-tech user and functionalities for the more tech-savy ones. The whole camera experience is better than expected. Haven't needed the video- or selfie-part yet. So can not say if that is equally good. I do wonder why a 17.3MP 3:2 mode is not offered, 5088×3392 is within sensor and optics...
