Samply - DJ Sampler

I'm going to use it to trigger samples live with my band. EDIT: the app erases your samples on close making it unviable.

Ive used this app extensively for years its great but now the ads have rendered it useless just too many too often it was nice when you got one on start up thats it ....and putting tags on all the buttons is a pain especially when it crashes and you have to do it all over again, and again file names are usually good enough.

One fatal flaw, I can't stop a sample once you play it???

It's an excellent app...or at least it was. I found the previous version to be perfect for my sampling needs, but then it was updated against my will, and not only is there much more lag and delay, but now some samples are just abruptly cut off. It would be nice if it was possible to install the version I had before. Also, I don't like the way the pads look now.

When I turn my phone sideways the sample turns off. Please fix

Verry verry good aplication i love it...

I work within the kids live Television industry. I use Samply as my Sfx trigger from an android Tablet (and phone as a back-up). So far it's responsive and reliable. The gestures help to cancel play of any long fx. And it allows for multiple, high quality stereo fx to be simultaneously triggered/layered.

It's good but you could fix stuff like when you hit a button on the next layout it doesn't stop the last sample on that button. Also it's nice to have the ability to save unlimited layouts for songs but for what it is it's a great app and I'm sure you'll continue with good updates

I use this app for triggering my .wav one shot sample, but i got 2 problems. first, there's a pop sound in every end of my sample. second, this app need to update it's compability codec of .wav files. since my sample sometimes doesn't have any sound.

..Maybe dialog window " are you sure? yes/no " , or increase options menu , for avoid incidentally save only..

I'm new to beat making and I've been trying to loop a part of a Willie Mitchell song called groovin. Its the same sample rza from wu tang used for gza's song liquid swords song

Brilliant. This does exactly what I want - i.e - trigger any sample I want by pressing the 'pad'. This app has actually saved me 70 kwid - I was going to buy the Akai MX8 to trigger samples - but the atrocious load times, small memory and inability to dis-able pad sensitivity put me off - this little piece of software solves all of those problems. There is a small learning curve - but it soon makes sense. The pads DO remember the assigned samples - BUT you have to long press a pad into the library - then just come out of it again for all pads to show the sample s and names. I use it live with my band for the odd sound effect - plugged into a spare channel on the mixer - perfect. Just remember to make sure your phone screen doesnt time out or the sound will stop - natch! Ads easy to get rid of - no sweat. And - its FREE - if you just need to trigger samples - however long they are - this will work.

I thought I had finally found something that does the job but I found to my dismay that the samples I had saved did not appear on the buttons when I first set it up in the studio. Do I really have to load each button by hand every time I boot it up? Such a shame as in every other way this app is excellent. Disappointing.

This app is simple and versatile! I used as a sound effect board and it worked nicely!
