About Bitdefender Parental Advisor
Bitdefender Parental Advisor for Android enables users to monitor their children’s activity on their Android phones or tablets.
Please log in the application with your Bitdefender Central account. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up directly from the application or you can login with your old MyBitdefender account.
To use Bitdefender Parental Advisor, Go to Bitdefender Central at https://central.bitdefender.com/parentaladvisor. Create your first child profile and select the devices your child uses.
You can easily deploy Bitdefender Parental Advisor for Android directly from Bitdefender Central:
1. Create a new child profile
2. Choose to install Bitdefender Parental Advisor on a new Android phone or tablet
3. Insert the email address where you want to receive the installation link
4. Go to the device and click on the link
After the install, you will be automatically logged into the application with your Bitdefender Central account. You can see the device on your child’s profile by clicking Edit in the card options menu. Select the device from the list to start monitoring.

So much for going for the best antivirus on the net. I have tried to use this for 6 months and have had nothing but trouble. Tried support when it locked my daughters phone and they wanted pics. Pics of the lock screen. Come on. I am spewing I wasted my money and time on this. If I could get a refund I would.

Like others, I can't get it to work properly, at least not on an Android device. I put it on my mobile phone to run a basic test and it immediately blocked Firefox. I then went back to Bitdefender Central and there was no information or configuration under Apps, so I've had to raise a support ticket. I'm not sure how this product is supposed to work as I haven't been able to find any reviews on it yet, so I've left Kaspersky Safe Kids on for now as that seems to be working well (apart from complaining about insecure sites due to the adblocking feature I have enabled on my router) and also it apparently monitors https connections and uses heuristic analysis (so I'd be interested to know how the Bitdefender product compares on that front as well).

I attempted to use the other Bitdefender Parental app with no success. It did not work at all but this one appears to be working well so far and displays my son's activities.

I downloaded this today, paid for the premium version and set it all up for what to currently block. My 2 daughters share this phone so the one I don't have trouble with will get stuff unblocked and I will make her change that password to unlock the phone so the other one can't sneak it away and get into it. Before giving this back I tested some of the blocked items and each time it starts it up but then a pop up saying it's blocked by Parental Advisor. Block play store app so your kids can't give 1 star!!

Client children's phones reported to central for a day or two then quit.

The app monitoring function, controlled from Central, does not work properly at all. It blocks all apps on my child's devices, regardless of whether I have individually allowed or blocked an app. The only way to get around this is to disable the app monitoring completely. Tested on 3 different android devices. Would love to debug this further and get to the bottom of it, with a view to a higher rating.
